Overview
Ahalf day tour to Furnas volcano. Stop At: Plantacoes de Cha Gorreana
Starting at thehotel/accommodation, and following the south coast, we left Ponta delgada towards the north coast and stop for the first time at Santa Iria viewpoint. Breathtaking scenery!
The Tea factory is our next stop to taste and admire the last natural tea plantation on the planet and the only industrial in Europe.

Stop At: Pico do Ferro Viewpoint
A lookout situated on the top of Furnas volcano crater. A panoramic view to inside the volcano. From this point, we can admire the Furnas village with some fumaroles or hot springs launching steam on the air, Furnas lake and all is beauty, and part of Pico da Vara, the highest point on the island.

Stop At: Furnas
Going inside the volcano, a stop for a amazing walk passing by many hot boilers, mineral springs or a liquor taste at the local shop and a visit to the " Natural Kitchen"where locals cook a unique stew in a hole in the ground using the heat from the volcano, unique!
