  • This tour takes you to wonderful views and experiences. We especially thank Pure Azores tours and our guide Mario for the excellent choices they made. Mario watched carefully when the clouds lifted so we could really see the views and not just fog. He gave us lots of information in a very interesting way and has a great sense of humor. We certainly recommend this tour, Pure Azores Tour and Viator!

  • Tiago was the greatest tour guide we ever had. he was very informative on the history and significance of the places we visited,
he did a great job showing us his beautiful island. you could hear the pride in his voice when he decscribed his precious island. at the end
of the tour we felt like his family. the whole day was so much fun. we cannot wait to return and see the rest of the island. we got a fantastic impression of this beautiful island. a must do tour.

  • We had a great time visiting Furnas, spending time in the thermal pools and the botanical garden, having some traditional stew for lunch, and then spending time at the breathtaking waterfalls of Nordeste. To finish off the tour, we visited the Gorreana Tea plantation and factory. This is family-friendly all-day trip, and our guide Ricardo was very laid-back and friendly.

  • Highly recommended. Ricardo was excellent guide. Views were breathtaking. Cozido lunch was perfect.

  • It was a rainy day and we tried to enjoy as much as we can since we could not control the weather. The places are beautiful but the tour guide we had was not that great, forgot his name, he kept on telling jokes instead of introducing the scenery. The things he talked about has nothing to do with our tour.

  • Ricardo was very personable and fun. It was like a friend giving us a tour of San Miguel. We had a personal, private tour, and he played along with our antics. Charlie's Angels, lol!

  • Perfect!

  • The tour was amazing! We would recommend it to anyone who wishes to explore Sao Miguel. Our guide, Mario, was excellent - very informative and attentive. Thank you to the wonderful tour provider, Pure Azores, and especially to Mario!

  • We made 9 stops on this all day tour--Furnas Lake, thermal springs, Terra Nostra Botanical Gardens with thermal bathing, a tea plantation, amazing scenes on the Northeast coast, and a spectacular waterfall overlooking the ocean. We enjoyed a traditional stew made in a cauldron that cooks in the thermal pools! Our guide, Nono, was knowledgeable, and like all Azoreans we met, as nice as anyone could be. We felt like we were in great hands.

  • An excellent day spent with Miguel. He is an outstanding guide, with a very deep knowledge of the places, history and those small bits and pieces that make the difference between a routine and the extra mile in appreciation of a place. This experience is also true for the other trip we took at São Miguel West Tour
