Know More about this tour

This evening, your guide will pick you up from your hotel.

First stop, enjoy a leisurely ride on cyclos through the busy street of Saigon in the late evening, getting yourself into the Saigon atmosphere.

Next, enjoy the unique art of water puppet show, a traditional art form closely connected with the long-standing spiritual life of the Vietnamese people. It is performed in a pool of water with the water surface being the stage. A traditional Vietnamese orchestra provides background music accompaniment. Singers with origin in north Vietnam sing songs which tell the story being acted out by the puppets (are carved out of wood). Although the authentic shows are exclusively in Vietnamese, the tales depict rural life in villages and are easy to understand. The shows typically last for one hour and offer a colorful way to enjoy an ancient tradition.

Then, continue to the harbor by cyclos for a dinner cruise, enjoy the city lights and panoramic views of Ho Chi Minh City . Enjoy sumptuous Vietnamese cuisine on this magical dinner cruise aboard a traditional-style Dragon Boat. The trip ends back at your hotel around 9:30pm.

  • The water puppet show was great however we missed a lot of scenes from the show because our guide was 30 minutes late. We were asked to wait at 5:45 in our hotel lobby but she came at 6:15. The cyclo ride was a good experience, it gave us a city tour of Ho Chi Minh at night. Dinner was so so.

  • Puppet show is very traditional and the cyclo ride was amazing through Saigon traffic. The dinner river cruise was fun as well.

  • Excellent program and arrangements.

  • We were taken on a cyclo ride from the hotel to the water puppet theatre and loved the experience. The show was something different and also enjoyable. But we were not very impressed with the dinner cruise. We thought the food was just average and there wasnt enough entertainment on board.

  • This was a wonderful experience and the dinner was excellent.

  • Our Tour guide was amazing! She was so lovely and spoke good English. The tour was awesome the only thing that might need to be clarified is the cylo ride. Both myself and mum were hounded by our drivers to give them tips( which is fine) but then our guide also paid as it was included in the tour

  • We were picked up from hotel and taken to water puppet show which we really enjoyed. The cyclo ride to the boat was an eye opener with traffic being extremely busy and found they expected to be tipped. The meal on the boat trip provided good choices and we were escorted back to the hotel by our guide she was great.Would recommend this tour as a fun night out

  • Pathetic dining experience. It was an overcrowded, noisy boat with nearly 500 people. Utter chaos prevailed as we tried to get our guide to understand that we eat only Chicken and Seafood. After much negotiations we were left with paltry servings of dried rice and stale starters. This was no where close to being idyllic, romantic or a quiet evening. I would definitely NOT recommend this tour or the TNK travels because I have been swindled big time

  • Fantastic tour, loved the water puppet show and the trip down the river. The meal on the boat very enjoyable especially the meal, our guide Tom was excellent. Great value for money.

  • Our guide arrived late and made us late to arrive at the water puppet show. The puppet show was very good and much better than the production in Hanoi. If you are going to see the puppet show, I suggest Saigon over Hanoi. The cylco ride was good, but we had to get to get out and walk about 500 feet to cross a bridge on foot with traffic flowing around us. Lastly, they did not have us booked on the boat for the cruise, so our guide had to quickly get us on another boat. We ended up on a larger boat, but I definitely do not think it was an upgrade. We had awesome food everywhere we went in Vietnam, EXCEPT this dinner cruise!!!
