Travel down to the Large Salinas to admire the dazzling white landscape and its large extension contrasting with the blue of the sky. Visit the salt workers and observe their handicrats, including the pools from which they extract salt. The white and shiny salt of Salinas Grandes, also known as the Great Salt Flat, has an inviting feel.

The sites were beautiful and worth seeing- just keep in mind I selected an English language tour and it was all in Spanish as I was the only English speaker there. The tour guide was very nice and did offer to come sit beside him but he spoke into a microphone quite a bit and wouldn’t be able to continually translate (his English was good). I didn’t expect full translations however A couple would have been nice as he spoke quite a bit about the locations, etc. or even when he told everyone when the stops were and durations as I had to continually ask. So I would recommend this tour if you are a fluent Spanish speaker, if not I would skip as you won’t be able to take in any information about the locations.

El viaje a Salinas grande es una experiencia realmente interesante. El paisaje es sorprendente, y el guía nos dio una verdadera clase de geografía sobre la región y su vegetación. La llegada a la Salina te sorprende. A pesar de la altura es totalmente disfrutable. El guía fue Marcelo, de la empresa Tastil, y sus consejos sobre la altura nos ayudó a estar muy bien. Paseo muy recomendable!!

O noroeste da Argentina é deslumbrante com as llamas, condor, cordilonese muita história do período pré hispano, Incas e colonial. is passeios são bem estruturados e o povo acolhedor. A comida regional é maravilhosa e a cerveja artesanal imperdível. Muito pra conhecer e aprender!

Magnífica experiencia con Tiamar Travel. El conductor y guía en español e inglés fue Julio. Súper correcto. Contó la geología y el modo de vida de los habitantes de los cerros. La cuesta de Lipan es espléndida con sus formaciones y colores. Las Salinas son imponentes. Solicitar las fotos que sacan los guias del lugar. Buen lugar para almorzar en Pumamarca y buen precio de las artesanías en Pumamarca. Bellas imágenes del Cerro de Siete colores en Pumamarca. Hay un mirador. No perderselo.

It is all very nice but the best is Pumamarca. Spare a couple of days to stay there and explore and enjoy that amaizing place. El Tren de la Nubes was a deception. Very good organization but they don’t have a policy to return the money to somebody who gave a 3 days in advance cancelation. You will not enter the clouds, it’s just a name and crossing a 150 feet bridge is ........
