We did the 4 day tour and have to say it was great! the group was really nice, our guides Cesar and Marco created a feeling of friendship and were always approachable with any concerns. I can really recommend this trek and the group. Very informative and nice scenery. Marco and Cesar did a great job guiding our group. They are nice people and great speakers!

Jimmy is the greatest guide ever. The man is extremely knowledgeable about everything on the Salkantay trek, as well as being funny and having a uniquely positive outlook on life and the world. He shared a little bit of his culture and home with us and made the hike incredibly special. Whatever he is getting paid, he deserves more. Also Gavino's cooking and ability to do the hike ahead of us every day to prepare food for our arrival was such a huge benefit and definitely one of the highlights.

Great experience! I highly recommend. Specifically, Tour guide Walter and Cook Jesus were amazing. Walter is the best tour guide in all of Peru! The summary on the Conde website is good, and the briefing the day before the trek is very informative on what to expect. The trek was definitely challenging at times (particularly day 2) but Conde staff does a very good job of coaching you through it. I highly recommend this challenging but rewarding trek with Conde.

Excellent guides, good food, spectacular scenary. Macchu pitchu was WOW. Really recommend this company for a trip. The guide’s knowledge was vast. The service was very personal. I really thought it was good value for money. For future, it would be better to have a clearer description of the trekking and amount of walking vs transfers by bus. We imagined the salkantay trek would be a journey but day 1 was designed to position you for the best opportunity to the see the salkantay pass in the morning so you walked quite a bit but ended up not far from your starting point. Better to explain this. Day 3 was a bit disjointed and felt like some of the journey was more by bus than walking. Overall we loved the trek so it didn’t matter but would be better to be clear in the description so people are aware. For travellers, you need to take a small hand soap as an essential. You also get very dusty so lots of lip balm and moisturiser needed.

This experience was amazing, the walk had it all. We walked from the snow capped mountains into the high jungle and then to incredible mountain scenery of Machu Picchu. What made it really special was our lovely guide Jhimmy and our amazing chef Braulio who cooked us great meals. Jhimmy was extremely knowledgable about the Incas, the jungle plants and animals and the mountains. He was always looking after and encouraging us and made sure the trek was enjoyable even at the hard parts.

Carlos was the best guide for the salkantay trek! He has a lot of knowledge about the nature, culture and history along the route, he told us a lot of interesting facts and could always answer all of our questions. He was also very caring, considering the needs of everyone. He even changed the itinerary a little bit so that everybody was happy! Carlos is also very funny and motivating, he has great positive energy, cheering us on along the way. The fact that the trek was such an amazing experience is for a large part because of Carlos!

Had an amazing experience, the trek was beautiful. A special mention to our guide Carlos, he truly made the experience special. Went above and beyond to explain the history of different sites, flora/fauna and look out for our well being. Also a special thanks to the cooks who made amazing food!
