Know More about this tour

The Salute To Pearl Harbor tour immerses you in the sights, sounds and personal stories of the world-changing events of Pearl Harbor, December 1941.  This is the way to see Pearl Harbor; with a knowledgeable guide who provides helpful insight and information, fascinating historical and cultural background-with the ease of transportation and a tour package that includes everything you need to visit the WWII Valor of the Pacific National Monument and the USS Arizona Memorial.

Upon picking you up, your guide begins to share local stories and interesting bits of history-setting the scene of that fateful day in December 1941-as you head towards Honolulu’s Pearl Harbor.  Soon, you arrive full of anticipation at one of Oahu’s most famous destinations.

You feel the site’s power as you enter the new World War II Valor in the Pacific National Monument.  Here you revisit the past through never- before-seen artifacts, replicas and media displays that explain the events and details of the day leading up to and following the Pearl Harbor attack.  Looking across the harbor’s blue waters at Ford Island, the center of the attack, you imagine the residents waking up on a Sunday morning to chaos and madness.

Traveling across the harbor by shuttle boat, and then standing in reflection on the USS Arizona Memorial, you pause in tribute to those who lost their lives that day. This graceful monument built over the remains of the sunken ship provides a moving balance of life and death, as you spot green sea turtles and colorful fish swimming in the active reef around the Arizona, even as it serves to memorialize those entombed below.

A historical film, a journey in time across the harbor, and perhaps a chance to meet a survivor of the attack complete your morning at the Memorial.

  • Nice tour. Thank you!

  • Unfortunately, we were not picked up until 9:15am so already 30 minutes late. We arrived at approx 10:00am and departed at 12:15. If the tour had been 4 hours at Pearl harbour, as advertised, we would have had time to see the museums and all the other sights. As it was cut short, we felt rushed and could have done with longer. We caught the boat out to Arizona but had to come back immediately due to time pressures.
Overall, we were disappointed with the time allowed. We needed the 4 hours there to enjoy the whole experience.

  • Very Informative and Mike was very entertaining!!

  • Viator was wonderful. We had a great day. The tour guide that picked us up was wonderful. She was proud of her island. Shared many stories with us. Gave us history of the island. I would definitely recommend using them. Thank you for giving us a great experience.

  • The Memorial is an amazing experience and should be visited by everyone. The entry is free to the video, which is excellent and transfer by boat to the USS Arizona, the 2 main attractions. My wife and I booked online tickets from Australia for AU53.00 each for a 1/2 day tour. This is in fact the cost of transport from our hotel in Waikiki to Pearl Harbour and return. The driver, stayed on the bus! She drove very well and shared info about Honolulu whilst on the trip. Apparently you can book on TheBus transport for much cheaper price, which I would recommend. • 2nd visit to the harbor. . Long enough to walk through and read and see history . Arizona visit moving

  • It was a great tour. It was on time and the tour guide was excellent.

  • Our tour guide Mike was really good as we travelled on the bus to and from Pearl Harbour she told us stories and so many facts about Hawaii, Waikiki and Pearl Harbour. When we got there he gave us our tickets made sure we all knew where to go and what time we had to be back at the bus. Fantastic tour.

  • Great representation of major historical event.

  • I was extremely disappointed that I had to hire a taxi from the airport to get to Waikiki to be picked up for this tour.
Waiting for the bus was the most stressful part of my whole vacation. I was instructed to be at the stop by 8:45 and the bus did not arrive until 9:20. I was afraid that I missed it after all it took to get to the stop.
We were rushed then to visit the museums. Sign up for a longer tour if you really want to absorb the museums before the trip to the Arizona. Pearl Harbor is an excellent memorial.
