Know More about this tour

The Salute To Pearl Harbor tour immerses you in the sights, sounds and personal stories of the world-changing events of Pearl Harbor, December 1941.  This is the way to see Pearl Harbor; with a knowledgeable guide who provides helpful insight and information, fascinating historical and cultural background-with the ease of transportation and a tour package that includes everything you need to visit the WWII Valor of the Pacific National Monument and the USS Arizona Memorial.

Upon picking you up, your guide begins to share local stories and interesting bits of history-setting the scene of that fateful day in December 1941-as you head towards Honolulu’s Pearl Harbor.  Soon, you arrive full of anticipation at one of Oahu’s most famous destinations.

You feel the site’s power as you enter the new World War II Valor in the Pacific National Monument.  Here you revisit the past through never- before-seen artifacts, replicas and media displays that explain the events and details of the day leading up to and following the Pearl Harbor attack.  Looking across the harbor’s blue waters at Ford Island, the center of the attack, you imagine the residents waking up on a Sunday morning to chaos and madness.

Traveling across the harbor by shuttle boat, and then standing in reflection on the USS Arizona Memorial, you pause in tribute to those who lost their lives that day. This graceful monument built over the remains of the sunken ship provides a moving balance of life and death, as you spot green sea turtles and colorful fish swimming in the active reef around the Arizona, even as it serves to memorialize those entombed below.

A historical film, a journey in time across the harbor, and perhaps a chance to meet a survivor of the attack complete your morning at the Memorial.

  • Great representation of major historical event.

  • I was extremely disappointed that I had to hire a taxi from the airport to get to Waikiki to be picked up for this tour.
Waiting for the bus was the most stressful part of my whole vacation. I was instructed to be at the stop by 8:45 and the bus did not arrive until 9:20. I was afraid that I missed it after all it took to get to the stop.
We were rushed then to visit the museums. Sign up for a longer tour if you really want to absorb the museums before the trip to the Arizona. Pearl Harbor is an excellent memorial.

  • super enjoyed the experience and was true to description. Not staying at a hotel, the pick up was a little confusing, just make sure to call the number they email you. The only thing I would have liked was longer to explore the museums, as the submarine museum would have been exciting to check out if the tour allowed for more time. Overall it was well organized and I would recommend!

  • Vanessa was amazing ! Excellent guide - highly recommend

  • This was a wonderful experience. Every American should see this. Our driver, Reuben, couldn't have been better at his job. I left my camera on the bus when I got off. When I got to my hotel, I couldn't remember where I had left it, and I thought it was gone for good. I then got a message from the hotel desk. Reuben had returned my camera from the bus. I can't tell you how grateful I was. All I've got to say is : Reuben is a jewel, be sure and keep him !!!!!

  • This was a well organized tour. Our bus driver gave lots of interesting and useful information on our drive to Pearl Harbor. He told us exactly where we needed to be at all times. Most of the time prior to our ride out to the Arizona was free time. We were able to go on the submarine- Bowfin. It was self-guided and very interesting. The ride to and from the Arizona was quiet as requested, out of respect for those lost there. A very emotional time spent remembering that day in history.

  • Lisa was very snappy in managing the tour schedule. We were travelling with young children and so were naturally a little slower than the others on tour. She snapped at having to repeat instructions despite asking us to sit at the back so that we wouldn and #39;t disturb anyone, and we couldnt hear

  • Driver stopped at his relatives donut shop and encouraged us to make a purchase. We did not have much time on the memorial. There was NO time to visit the rest of the grounds. Forget shopping as you have to get back to the bus before you are left behind. this was not worth the money I paid. Rent a car or call a cab and do this tour on your own.

  • We enjoyed our tour with Mike. He was very informative and funny..... Quite the comedian. We learned lots of interesting facts about Oahu and Pearl Harbor. We enjoyed being picked up right across from our hotel and a reminder call the day before set us a ease that the reservation was confirmed. We enjoyed driving through downtown to see the capital, the palace and various statues on the way back to Waikiki. The tour was just the right length and gave us of plenty of time to enjoy the beach at Waikiki once we returned.
3 cheers for Mike. He is a valuable asset for your company.

    from a happy family

  • Our driver gave us a funny interesting commentary during the drive. Pearl Harbor was amazing, an interesting yet somber remembrance of the attack.
