Departing at 09.00 from the Maritime Terminal, the navigation is in calm waters, within the Bay of All Saints which is the largest bay in Brazil. The Island of the Frades is approximately 6 km long and is situated in the center of the Bay of All Saints, with beautiful beaches, mountains, lakes, and vegetation typical of the Atlantic Forest, although it is one of the smallest islands in Todos os Santos Bay.
The Island of the Frades is 15-pointed star format. The name Frades comes from the memory of religious who tried to catechize the Tupinambs Indians and were devoured by them, because they were cannibal Indians. Among other cultural attractions are the Church of Our Lady of Lourete and the Church of Our Lady of Guadalupe, dating from the 17th century.
When you'll leaving the Island of the Frades you will visiting the Island of Itaparica, one of the largest islands in Brazil. It is the largest and most famous island of the Bay of All Saints. The arrival is at Praia de Itaparica, stop for lunch (own espenses), relaxing and enjoying this beautiful beach until the end of the afternoon with warm and shallow waters. Returning to Salvador, with arrival scheduled for 17:30.
