  • We basically had a private island to ourselves which was nice and relaxing. The water was beautiful. However there was trash on the island that should be cleaned up. It wouldnt take a lot to do so. The dinner could have been better. Im vegetarian and was provided a simple salad and fries. The staff was friendly and packed water and snacks for us. Overall it was a nice and relaxing day on a private island in beautiful Panama.

  • Best day during our stay in Panama. Aside from the extremely long drive it was great. The water was very warm and crystal clear. The surprise stops are also very breathe taking. I must admit two downfalls and if they fix this it will make the trip splendid......1 the boat ride is rough and gets you completely soaked! Even on the ride back, its relentless and very uncomfortable. 2 Stop trying to monopolize on every little thing! Some things are understandable like paying for the trip, entrance fee, and for drinks. But pay to use the nasty stinky bathroom? Since when is using the bathroom a privilege? It wasn't even clean!!! That's why I give this 3 stars.

  • super! Food was excellent

  • This tour was excellent, we were treated very very well. I think it's an absolute must. There was amazing scenery during the drive. Then the cute boats that took us out to these gorgeous islands. I'm still in awe that my personal photos look like a brochure, not photoshopped!! Brilliant experience.

  • I usually love viators however this one was a miss. They give very little information regarding what to expect. First there is a 2 1/2 hr ride over winding steep narrow roads. Then the boat ride is 1 hour to the first island. The boat is small and tossed around like canoe in the high waves and you are soaked before getting to you first island. We were not told to bring a towel or to wear a bathing suit so everything was wet within 10 minutes. There was no dock on the island so you have to get out in 2 feet of water...again good to have been wearing a bathing suit. The islands were so windy that we were pelted with sand the entire time. No place to escape this wind. Getting back on the boat meant getting back in the water and jumping into the boat. Totally not recommended for anyone over 35 or in not great physical condition. Not really safe! We were happy when it was over. Not fun!

  • This tour is an adventure. We went Tues Jan 16, 2018 with Elvis who was very informative about "the people of the islands". The trip to the port was very bumpy with many potholes along the way. We swam with the starfish, snorkeled the pirate ship, and enjoyed paradise for the day. U'll want 2 stay.

  • This is everything people described. It is a guaranteed adventure. The driver drops you off and drives away quickly leaving you in an unknown place with dozens of people around and you have no idea what you are supposed to be doing. Eventually someone approached me and said he had been looking for me. I then went with there group on a rickety boat out to the islands, had a great time, and then was plastered with water the whole way back. On the return boat ride the wind had picked up, so the waves were constantly hitting us and the driver was bailing while steering. It was quite an adventure, bring Dramamine. Also, a cooler with drinks and snacks is not a bad idea.

  • San Blas as such is really great and worth a visit. It is worth 5-stars. The tour operator behind the tour did not organise as well. I sent several mails for pick-up but never got it confirmed. I got a pick-up somewhat late however the driver was only there to do the pick-up and did not know where in San Blas to drop us off it was at the third port we visited.... However forgetting about this, it was a great trip and visit. However the trip to San Blas is some 3-4 hours so it might be better spending a night instead of going during the day.

  • This is transportation, not a tour.

You will receive a car driver and a boat captain, none of whom will interact with you. I enjoy learning about local culture and new facts when on a tour, but you won't receive anything like that on this tour.

The driver drove us to/from Niga Kantule, which takes 5 hours, in total silence.

Once you arrive in Niga Kantule, the driver dumps you out of the car and leaves without telling you where to go, what to do, or introducing you to the boat captain. Eventually, a Guna native approaches, asking for your passport information. Once you fill out the paperwork, he too disappears also without explaining what is going on.

After waiting at Niga Kantule for about an hour with no idea of what's going on, you will be shepherded to a boat that takes you to the first island. Once arriving at the island, the captain, like the car driver, will also abandon you and not provide any information such as where you are, what time you will be leaving and where to meet at a designated time, and this theme continues as you visit the additional islands.

The San Blas islands are beautiful and worth visiting, but this is not a tour, it's transportation. And it certainly isn't worth the 150/person price tag to be

  • The San Blas Archipelago is amazingly beautiful and culturally very interesting. Our whole excursion went smoothly, although it was a total leap of faith. We were picked up at out hotel right on time, but our driver didn't speak any English and we didn't speak enough Spanish to fully understand what was happening. But we got in the car and off we went. After a short stop at a supermarket for breakfast, the driver took us to the beach where he handed us over to the boat drivers. They didn't speak English either, so it was another leap of faith to get in the boat. But they too did their part and took us to 3 spectacular islands, fed us lunch fried fish and coconut rice and brought us back. The car ride is long about 3 hours each way and the road to the beach is rough. The boat ride was rough too. So the trip is not for anyone who's unfit or timid. But for anyone who's up for a little adventure, I highly recommend it.
