Know More about this tour

Get an early start at Muir Woods National Monument with hotel pickup in the morning. Youll depart San Francisco, passing the Palace of Fine Arts and the Presidio, for a drive north across the iconic Golden Gate Bridge. Gaze at the city skyline and Alcatraz Island en route to the renowned wine country of Northern California.
Enjoy early arrival at Muir Woods, before most other tour groups reach the park. This national monument is the site of a virgin forest of California Coast redwood trees, among the oldest and tallest on Earth. You'll have approximately one hour to admire the groves of giant sequoias. Behold the majestic redwoods as you take a leisurely nature walk with your informative guide, who points out native coastal flora and fauna including ferns, laurel trees and the occasional deer.
Cross moss-lined creeks and stand in awe beneath trees that reach 250 feet (76 meters) skyward. Then re-board the vehicle to spend a leisurely afternoon wine tasting at three wineries in Napa Valley and Sonoma County. Typical stops include Madonna Estate Winery, Cline Cellars and Mayo Family Winery, but locations are subject to change, depending on availability.
Youll spend up to one hour at each selected winery, with the opportunity to try 3 to 5 delicious wines, enjoy a sparkling wine tasting, and purchase bottled wine to take home. All wine tastings are complimentary!
Arrive at your first winery in the Carneros region of Sonoma County, where you'll indulge in a variety of elegant wines. Stroll the winery grounds, take scenic photos among the vines, and enjoy the friendly atmosphere as you enjoy a personalized experience.
You have an hour of free time at the Sonoma Plaza to purchase lunch, browse the boutiques or enjoy additional wine tasting at the many tasting rooms (fees not included), before sipping more California varietals at your second and third winery, including Napa Valley.
Then relax on the return journey over the Golden Gate Bridge, enjoying sweeping views of the San Francisco Bay and seaside cliffs before hotel drop-off.

  • The trip itself was fine, enjoyed seeing Muir Woods. The wineries were ok, no wine that was so good I wanted to buy it. The biggest problem with this trip was the time on the bus. It is described as a nine hour tour. We were the first to be picked up by the bus 7:40 am and then the last to be dropped off at 7:15 pm. Im not sure we would have signed up for a 12 hour tour. They need to figure out a way to switch up the pick up/drop off route.

  • We had the most amazing beginning with a wonderful welcome by Anthony, out driver. Anthony made sure that we didn't miss a thing and gave us the best insights to make our day perfect and bubbly! Thank you Anthony for an amazing trip. It would not have been the same without your wit, humor and great tips to make the day perfect

  • Great value for money for a look at Muir Woods and a taste of Sonoma/Napa. The Muir Woods visit is only a drop off - you pay your own entry fee and we were given just over an hour to explore on our own. Our tour driver Ben gave us tips on where to go and how long the walks through the woods should take. It's beautiful and definitely worth it! The first winery was Mayo which was good, approx 5 tastings and a small tour/explanation of their wine making process. After Mayo, they took us to Sonoma town for lunch - Ben had a lot of recommendations for lunch but we had chosen to do the gourmet lunch which was at the Plaza Bistro. Unfortunately the lunch was horrible - the food was cold, the quality disappointing, the cheese plate was 2 tiny squares of cheese and some grapes, the wine pairings were a tasting only one bottle was split between 15 people and they rushed us through it. And our tour guide just checked the reservation and left us - he never told us if we'd have to sign anything which we didn't or if tip was included which it was. We would have been better off doing our own thing. The second winery was Kieu Hoang which was good - we got a closer look at the vines and about 3 tastings. The last winery was Cline which has beautiful grounds. They gave us 5 tastings and we got a good explanation of how to properly taste wine if you didn't know already that would have been good to get at the beginning of the tour!. On the way back to San Fran, Ben took us over the hill to see the viewpoints of Golden Gate so we could snap some photos of the late sun on the bridge - was amazing!

  • The Tour was exactly as advertised. Beautiful day and drive. Lunch was delicious. Aoka our Tour Guide was informative, humorous, knowledgeable, and a great driver. She even taylored the onboard music to be age appropriate for the passengers. I would do the same trip again!

  • Fantastic tour with an incredible tour guide. Antony knows San Francisco like the back of his hand! The wineries were great and I thought we spent the perfect amount of time at Muir Woods. Made great friends on the trip, especially with the Canadian in the yellow dress!

  • Book this tour! We had a great day full of beautiful countryside, fantastic wines and an excellent guide who kept us all lively and went out of his way to go the extra mile for us.....thoroughly enjoyable.

  • We had an amazing time on this tour. Our tour guide Anthony was very informative and kept us laughing! The Muir Woods were awesome and the wine tasting fantastic. We even got to see the most beautiful sunset on our drive home! Would absolutely recommend this tour!!!

  • Loved this tour! Everything was beautiful and seamless from pick up to drop off, especially the bright glow of yellow from everywhere you looked! From the mustard flowers to my yellow dress... it was yellow, yellow, yellow, yellow!

More to topic though, all the wineries were lovely and the wine was delicious!. I also recommend booking the extra lunch. It helped connect with others on the tour, try more local wines and not have to worry about cash or food. Everything's taken care of for you.

To make the day even more amazing, our driver, Anthony, was hilarious! So knowledgeable and really went the extra mile to ensure we all got great value. He also loves yellow. I would definitely book another tour if Anthony was our guide again!

    Overall great day!

  • Great tour, driver was amazing and funny.

  • We stopped to take pictures at the Golden Gate Bridge on the way to the Muir Woods and on our way back to our hotels after the wine tours. Jake is a fantastic guide - extremely knowlegeable, well-spoken and funny. He also set expectations throughout the trip as to how long everything would take and we stayed on time. It gave me a chance to prepare for the longer legs of the journey which I appreciated. He's also a good driver for a 26 year old, and fun but mature for his age.The first winery Mayo was tremendously informative and the wine was amazing, but the second Hoang winery was great for scenery and photos, but not the best tour or wine. The third winery Cline also had high quality wines and pretty grounds. The Muir Woods were amazing and I felt like we had just the right amount of time for it. All in all, this was totally worth the 120 price tag.
