Know More about this tour

Sand Dollar is a great half day trip from St. Martin, offering sightseeing, snorkeling and swimming. Captain Alex is one of our most complimented staff members and will be looking after your tour group for the day! Sand Dollar is a custom built 28 foot powerboat with a canopy for shade

The cruise takes guests through the lagoon, along our beautiful coastline and up to Creole Rock, off Grand Case. Creole Rock is a large rock formation with a reef extending out towards to the mainland, about a mile offshore. Waters are shallow and calm and provide excellent snorkeling. The boat picks up a mooring in a large sandy patch, in about 8 feet (2.4 meters) of water.

The shallow water, while being great for diving, offers great chances of seeing the rare frogfish, puffer fish, occasional barracuda and many different varieties of reef fish. Divers are welcome, however they must bring their own equipment.

A large cooler keeps beers and sodas ice cold for refreshment throughout the day and bread and cheese are served to hungry snorkelers. Guests should bring towels, hats, sun block and bathing suits. Underwater cameras are on sale in our boutique for those who wish to capture the beauty of the underwater world!

Non swimmers are also welcome to share in the enjoyable boat ride with great views of Anguilla from Creole Rock.

  • It was a nice trip, but not quite as described in the advertisement. There is no 'catamaran', there is no 'gliding through the lagoon' and we never met 'Captain Alex.' Quite the contrary, you are whisked away in a speedboat to the destination, time to snorkel, then return. Good point is if you're not interested in the catamaran's leisurely round trip, you'll love it since you will have more time to snorkel. My wife and I enjoy snorkeling, but after an hour, we are worn out. It is a nice quick trip I would recommend, but be sure you reread my second sentence and ensure you're okay with all the deviations from what is being marketed.

  • Nice boat trip out to the snorkeling spot, snorkeling was decent nothing great or terrible.

  • super trip...Roy a super boat captain.....good snorkling

  • The tour we took was fun. However, it was not what we had booked and paid for.
We were the only people booked for our tour so they moved us to a tour that went the same place but instead of my husband and myself being on a boat together, I rode with the leader and my husband was by himself on a jet ski. I booked for the boat for ease of entry and exit from the water to snorkel. I enjoyed the trip we did, but I did not like the choice being made for me. I would have preferred to be notified in advance so I could have chosen whether to keep or do something different.

  • The trip was fine and the snorkeling was gorgeous. The length of time was just right for first-time snorkelers. But the hard thing was finding the place. We couldn't find the tour operator without a lot of stopping for directions. The other people scheduled for the tour never did find it, according to the woman who gave us forms to sign. Also our one-man crew was pretty taciturn and not much of a naturalist. And you might want to tuck a granola bar in your beach bag since the food is available only as you are heading back to port and you might feel hungry mid-snorkel. All in all, it was fun, just sort of the snorkeling equivalent of a starter home.

  • Do to windy conditions and a larger group we had to take the long way around to get to the snorkel spot which shortened our stay but that was not anyone's fault. Was a great boat ride and sight seeing.

  • Nice snorkeling. Wish trip had been a little longer!

  • Awesome snorkeling trip. Highly recommend this to everyone.

  • This was my first snorkeling trip and it was great! Junior our captain was very helpful. And the view was amazing!

  • This was a terrific snorkel trip. I would recommend to anyone.
