Overview
Experience the adventure and beauty of exploring the Namib desert with your driver/guide. There are many interesting sights to see including desert fauna and flora, and giant sand dunes. Navigate the thin stretch of coast where giant dunes meet the Atlantic ocean on your way to Sandwich Lagoon.
Hotel pickups in Walvis bay ( Swakopmund pickups at N$100.00 per person) and lunch that includes finger snacks, sparkling wine and something sweet is included.

Très belle excursion avec Red dune Safaris. Nous avions la chance de n'être que 2 avec JP, le guide. Il est très à l'écoute de vos désirs. Nous avons commencé par de magnifiques photos de flamants roses à Walvis Bay. Les lumières du matin sont parfaites. Puis, direction Sandwich Harbor. L'aller s'est effectué entre les dunes et la mer. Nous avons pu rencontrer otarie, gecko, oiseaux marins. Le retour se fait via les dunes, après un déjeuner copieux en haut des dunes. La vue est incroyable, et les sensations fortes. Le guide est sensible à la photographie, et fait donc en sorte que vous preniez de très belles photos (orientation de la voiture pour masquer son ombre par ex.). Nous étions à "contre-courant" des autres groupes d'excursion, et donc, souvent seuls sur les sites. Enfin, le guide vient vous chercher à l'hôtel (très ponctuel), et vous y ramène. C'est appréciable. Je recommande vivement Red Dune Safaris !

Nous avons effectué cette sortie avec Herman de "Africaedgesafaris". Nous avons adoré ces paysages hors du commun. Herman est un conducteur compétent, respectueux du milieu dans lequel il évolue. IL connaît les dunes comme sa poche. Il aime communiquer sur son pays, le paysage, les animaux. A recommander.

As nature and landscape photographer I love the beauty of desert scenery. Together with my friend we were looking for a serious guided tour and found the offer from Red Dune Safaris to be very promising. We booked a one day tour "Seal colony and Sandwich Harbour". Our guide JP not only promised - he delivered in every regard. He is reliable, gallant, well educated and with all the local and cultural expertise which complements the numerous impressions of the beautiful landscape to an unforgettable experience. Being a hobby photographer as well he intuitively understood what we were looking for. We enjoyed a wonderful day within this unique landscape, perfectly organised and have taken along great impressions finally nailed on our camera memory cards. Clear recommendation.

We had a great time on our tour! Our guide JP was really friendly, knowledgeable, patient and made sure we had the best experience possible. We did the half day tour, we enquired last minute about picking us up at our accommodation which he was more than happy to. He truly cares about the country and being very careful to the environment and preserving its beauty. Comfort and safety were also a top priority and he was flexible to adapt the route where we wanted to spend most time. Highly recommend!

As a photographer I wanted the flexibility of an individual tour with a guide that could get me to the right places/situations when the light was as close to perfect as possible. After reading many reviews, i decided on the "Sunrise Sandwich Harbour excursion" presented by JP Koch from Red Dune safaris. This was by far the most inspiring outing of our month long trip through Namibia, mainly due to JP's knowledge, experience, patience and politeness. A wonderful trip through the dunes of the Namib Desert. JP is a really great guide who has a lot of knowledge and knows how to pass it on. A drive along the beach along the ocean, descents and ascents to the dunes, wonderful views of the dunes descending to the ocean. Jackals, seals, oryxes, spreengboks, geckos. Very good lunch with sparkling wine. We dreamed about such a trip and we got such a trip. Thank you

Exciting trip across the dunes. So much sand! And as a reward you get a delicious picnic and a cool beer. And as a sidecatch we spotted this nice little gecko (cf. pictures)
