Know More about this tour

Isla saona is a 42 square kilometer Caribbean oasis, off the southern coast of the Dominican Republic. Originally named "Adamanay" by the Taino Indians, the island was renamed by Christopher Columbus, during his second voyage to the Americas in 1494. The name, "Saona", commemorated his friend, Michele da Cuneo, from Savona, Italy.
You will be raced to the island in a speed boat that includes a stop in a waist-deep natural swimming pool of transparent waters. You may enjoy a dip and get lucky in spotting some starfish! At Isla saona, you'll have many choices, all the right ones, to make the most of your day trip. Wade in the turquoise waters, visit the open bar, take a nap on a beach lounge chair, play volleyball, indulge in a typical Dominican lunch of chicken, pork, rice, beans, salad, and fruit, or walk the coastline. Take your time and do it all!

Tour was great. I was one of the first few to be picked up and they picked me up at 6:15am. Most tourist were punctual so that helped as well. The island was Amazing. I didn’t like the food their so much but everything else was great.

The island of Saona is one of the most beautiful places in the Caribbean, however the company you choose to travel with will make a great difference between having great experience to having average experience. Unfortunately Viator attracts companies with bad reputation and our trip reflected that. Pick up and drop off resulted in horrible experience of wasted time and nerves, we didn't get to the island until late afternoon, the island itself wasn't well taken care of, litter everywhere and lack of proper shower facilities, lunch at the island was average at best. Avoid Viator and travel with reputable companies that would make your time and money worth.

We had an amazingly big experience throughout our day, we visited a natural swimmer ng pool 🏊‍♀️ n the middle of the sea with crystal clear waters and only waste height. We continued sailing to Saona Island where we had nice food and an open bar. We experienced a little very beach. ( bring footwear for the sea as many shells) had such a night ce time then speed boat back. Transfers were all included . Great memories

Daddy was out tour guide and he was great. Saona Island by far is the one of the most beautiful island that I have ever visited. The water was so blue!! We stopped at the Natural swimming pool for a good swim. I'll definitely be back.

Had to climb aboard different boats six times (excluding) at shallow pool on way out. Need a Real dock at port of departure to accommodate all boats. One at Island also would help. Hard to walk over rocks and shells to get to shore. Rest of trip was good. Good food and guide.
    Watch out for all vendors.

They picked us up from our hotel on time, and then went to pick up other people which we didn't mind. We stopped by a little market for souvenirs and a shot of mamajuana. "Daddy" was our tour guide and he was super fun and kind. The speeboat ride was fast and in no time we were at the sandbar where they serve you rum and coke and the photographer takes pictures and offers them at the end. We went to the island after, and stayed there and relaxed. Everything was just perfect! Would definitely do it again!
