Know More about this tour

Isla saona is a 42 square kilometer Caribbean oasis, off the southern coast of the Dominican Republic. Originally named "Adamanay" by the Taino Indians, the island was renamed by Christopher Columbus, during his second voyage to the Americas in 1494. The name, "Saona", commemorated his friend, Michele da Cuneo, from Savona, Italy.
You will be raced to the island in a speed boat that includes a stop in a waist-deep natural swimming pool of transparent waters. You may enjoy a dip and get lucky in spotting some starfish! At Isla saona, you'll have many choices, all the right ones, to make the most of your day trip. Wade in the turquoise waters, visit the open bar, take a nap on a beach lounge chair, play volleyball, indulge in a typical Dominican lunch of chicken, pork, rice, beans, salad, and fruit, or walk the coastline. Take your time and do it all!

It was fine but the beach is crowded, there is no swimming at Saona as the waves are bad and there really isn’t much beach. No snorkeling. Heavily geared towards adults getting hammered.

What a great option for aday trip with friends. You meet a lot of nice people and everyone is in the party mood with a great view. Who can ask for more?!

Drivers were timely. Guide was multilingual, kept us informed. Lively, entertaining crew. Beautiful island. Food very mediocre, photographers pester you relentlessly

I enjoyed the trip. It would have been 5 stars if it excluded the trip to the local shops with all the haggling. Also, food was average at best, and the beaches were so crowded with many tourists which made it feel less special.

The island itself. It so refreshing a breath of fresh air. Stress relief I would say. I enjoyed swimming in the water.

This was one of our top favorite days while in Punta Cana! The guides and photographers were so attentive and accommodating. Our favorite part was the stop in the natural swimming pool in the crystal clear water where we got AMAZING photos and got supplied rum N coke from Papa! Papa was the best! The catamaran boat ride back to the island was amazing.. MAKE sure you bring lots of sunscreen!! The only things we didnt enjoy was the included lunch, alot of the food was cold and we were bombarded by flies while trying to eat and the locals were nonstop pestering us about buying their stuff, they wouldnt take no for an answer..... with that being said, it wouldnt stop us from going again.

The tour was amazing! The bus was on time, no delays. The tour guide Danny Boy was perfect. We spent a great time. Highly recommend.

The water and beach itself were absolutely amazing and like something out of a movie. With that being said the vendors selling items were not pushing but there were so many that it seemed that all you do was say no thanks repeatedly. This started from the moment you get off the bus, all day at the island and then again when you are going to get back on the bus to go back to your resort. However the entertainment on the catamaran was more concerning and border line inappropriate. The sexual in nature flamboyant dancing by one individual made myself and my wife very uncomfortable. We were not the only ones as evident on in the facial expressions of others. While certain people did enjoy it, it was not for everyone.
