This tour brings the museum experience outdoors - an unforgettable live and guided story-telling production you can't afford to miss. Please note: This is not a pre-recorded tour. T.C. personally escorts you through Savannah.
Your tour is lovingly crafted by T.C., known as Savannah's best Historical Storyteller, Host, and respected Savannah Ambassador. He'll share more than just the facts - he'll share with you stories of Savannah's people. Stories of those who created timelines that effect how each of us live our lives today, throughout the U.S., and even the world. Your guide's passion for Savannah is apparent with every word. This is more than a tour. This is a walk with a friend. You'll take away a personal experience of Savannah and it's Southern hospitality that you'll never forget.
We'll provide you with earbuds, which allow you to easily hear T.C. (He is mic'd), and enjoy your personal space without feeling closed-in or crammed into a large group . Time and time again, guests share their enjoyment, citing the ease of taking photos as our receivers work up to 100 feet. Your audio-enhancement cuts through city noise, allows parents to take care of children's needs in private, and assists both foreign guests and the hearing impaired.

Entire experience, ending in Saint John's Church. Tour guide Ashley was excellent, with wonderful history and humor!!
We went on two tours - Historic & Haunted. T.C was our guide on both and he was fantastic. Both tours were interesting and gave you a true feeling of Savannah from the past until today. Highly recommend using Genteel & Bard - request TC if possible. He made our trip to Savannah!!! Marney & Bill from Chicago
Very informative. We had a great guide by the name of Ashlee. I would highly recommend this tour for any first time visitors to Savannah.
I have been on many walking tours and this one is by far the best that I’ve ever been on. TC was really friendly, really personable, has great knowledge and really involved all of the group. It is so nice to have someone who is so passionate about the area and the history and has so many stories to tell. The incorporation of headsets so that all could easily follow without needing to crowd around as well as audio and visual clues used throughout gave me a far better insight into Savannah than I would have had on my own. I really couldn’t recommend Genteel and Bard enough! You can also tell the local connections as TC is seeing familiar faces throughout the tour.
Ashley was fantastic. Her story telling from colonial time to WWII to Forest Gump allowed us to see Savanah history in a very different light and depth. Both my husband and I enjoyed the walking tour. Wag-o-ween helped a bit also. After the tour, we stopped by Gryphon for an afternoon tea as she recommended, then circled around Forsyth Park, then returned to the "bookstore chocolate shop". We didn't get to see the Sistine Chapel of the South as suggested by her however as it was closed for a wedding. It was a nice and fulfilled afternoon nonetheless, both intellectually and "tummily", thanks to the information she provided during the tour. I highly recommend it.
Ray was our guide and was an excellent story teller. Kept us entertained for the entire tour with fascinating stories of people and the history of Savannah. This was my third city tour and, by far the best.
TC was an animated and informative tour guide. His knowledge of Savannah’s history and lore was phenomenal. He kept us both entertained and involved in his narrative. We didn’t want the tour to end . Highly recommend.
TC has certainly found fascinating and interesting facts that make Savannah come alive. He uses the most up-to-date technology to enhance his walking tour. The pictures he showed, and the music and dialog he played validated what he was sharing. He definitely is a master storyteller. It was $ well spent...a great value. I would have loved a bathroom break option...like at the SAD store. Other than that, I wouldn't change a thing.
The knowledge of TC our guide and his amazing ability to bring history to life. We didn’t want the tour to end!
My wife and I did this tour on our first full day in Savannah (Oct 2022). TC was our guide and did a phenomenal job sharing many interesting facts and tidbits about the city, ranging from Forrest Gump and Midnight in the Garden of Good & Evil to the Civil War and how Irish immigrants first found their way to Savannah. It was the perfect start to our trip and I would STRONGLY recommend this tour to anyone making their first trip.
