See its colonial landmarks and bustling street markets, visit the Bob Marley Museum, once home to the great reggae musician; and admire Devon House, an opulent monument to 19th-century Jamaica. The tour includes time for an enticing lunch (own expense) at Devon House.

Know More about this tour

Start with a pickup from your Montego bay hotel. Board your air-conditioned coach or minivan and pass lush plantations, rickety villages and verdant countryside on route to Kingston.

Drive through Fern Gully, a 3-mile (5-kilometer) road where giant ferns create a luxuriant canopy of tropical greenery. Follow winding roads up the forested Mount Diablo and admire the panoramic island views from its summit.

Arrive in Kingston, set between the hazy peaks of the Blue Mountains and a vast natural harbor. Learn how the city is effectively split into a gritty Downtown of street markets and colonial-era buildings, and a commercial Uptown district.

Enjoy a sightseeing drive around top Kingston attractions and learn about the citys history and role in Jamaicas ebullient spirit and culture. See the historic buildings and Simon Bolivar statue in Downtown, and watch the locals go about their routines in the colorful street markets.

Stop at Devon House, a palatial mansion built by Jamaicas first black millionaire in 1881. Tour (own expense) the opulent interiors of this grand house and break for lunch (own expense) at its courtyard restaurant.

Drive through the University of West Indies campus and visit the Bob Marley Museum, sited in the musicians former home on Hope Street. Take a guided tour (own expense) of the simple rooms that chart his life with gold records, statues and memorabilia.

When the time comes, enjoy the scenic drive back to Montego bay, where a hotel drop-off ends your trip.

Tour was awesome overall, our tour guide Adrian was great. He was very knowledgeable and kept us entertained with a lot of fun facts

Yes the drive is far but it is worth it. Despite the limited duration, I felt as if I gained a valuable perspective of the city. A visit to National Heroes Park, Millionaire row, Bob Marley museum, shopping mall/food court coupled with a drive through the waterfront and the financial district was an action packed itinerary. The JTL tour guide and driver were knowledgeable, professional, and fun! Shuttle was clean and rest stops for bathroom breaks, breakfast, and souvenirs were nice as well.

My husband and I truly enjoyed our scenic tour from our Hotel (Montego Bay) to Kingston. Our driver, Garfield, was very nice and we felt very safe with him . Our guide, Adrian, was fantastic. He was very nice, energetic, knowledgeable, informative and helpful. We could not have asked for a better guide. The whole trip was most enjoyable. The rest stops were well timed. The small size of our group made it even more special. We cannot think of anything negative to say about this excursion.

The diver was excellent and the tour guide “Adrien” was very knowledgeable about the history of Jamaica and entertaining as well. If you go on the tour and you get Adrien as your guide, address his as “A-Train”

Unable to get through to the company on the numbers provided in the automated email. They want you to ring them and confirm your collection time by phone prior to taking the trip. This is a pain as maybe you are not near a phone to be able to do this. We book online as we want ease of use!!
So I wrote an email to Viator who replied someone will be in touch. No one ever was.
The booking said 0800 pick up on the confirmation. I waited in case they came. But no one did.
I saw another JTL driver collecting for airport pick up at the hotel and he gave me ANOTHER number to try, the despatch office.
Why should I be chasing around? Clearly they don't want my custom so I went with someone else.
Save your money - don't bother. No communication from them ever.

Kingston was a big letdown compared to the other parts of the island, but the visit to the Bob Marley museum was the real highlight of the tour ! A must for all Bob Marley lovers. The tour guide Steven was very informative and Russel the driver very efficient as the drive to and from Ocho Rios is long and full of traffic!!

Had the most amazing trip and tour guides! Sheree and Delroy were so much fun and very informative, our party had the best time touring the historical sites, Devon House, Bob Marley Museum. We were able to see the changing of the guards at the National Heroes Park, as well as Kingston's Beverly Hills neighborhood. Definitely a fun trip!

    Welcome To Jamrock

This trip was worth it from all perspective and a good introduction to Jamaica in so many levels. Staying in Montego Bay is wise because of its strategic location, the company is pretty good at pick up so if you stay like me in an Airbnb pick the closest hotel where you can walk to their lobby. The journey to Kingston started on time so contrary to what people say keep time, the drive was amazing keep your camera ready the scenery is amazing remember the Bob Marley song about over hills and valleys too...yes that was true. 2-3hrs with occasional stops especially just for bathroom and traffic on entering Kingston, we drove around downtown Kingston to understand the different entrance points of the city ask for Kings Street and other any Government Offices, then to Heroes Park where our guides were gracious enough to allow us to watch the change of guard its a must see here you will learn about the history of Jamaica and its hero, Oh we also took a detour and went to University of West Indies just a quick drive through inside the school and also Beverly Hill Jamaica guess who we saw fixing his car Asafa Powell goggle him then after that heading to Bob Marley Museum Park on a guided tour USD 25 to learn about the 5' 6'' legends life and where all the magic music happened, here we had enough time to complete the tour and still stake picturesnote at the museum they don't allow recording video and audio only still pictures because of copyright issues before having lunch at Usain Bolt Track Records Restaurant USD About 20 per meal..my favorite was Jerk Platter which had jerk chicken, festival and plantain Yummy and this concluded the trip. Actually by this time you are kind of worn out and most people slept on the way back as for me I continues talking to the guides to answer any questions I had, ask them as many as you have. Trip last depending on pickup location for us in MoBay 7am-8pm...guessing other places might be as early as 5:30a so stay in MoBay

Pros: 1 day for all this is worth more than what they are charging so value wise check 100.

Cons: I know your looking for negatives...negatives...I think it depends on who your guides are so ask for ANTOINETTE and Driver DEROY

Tips: Book with Viator this is a no brainer, stick with shorts and t-shirt or light clothes, carry lot water...I mean 4 bottles per person thank me later, good camera with back up battery or portable charger, be very attentive to guides because the amount of info you will get from the guides will live with you forever...I feel like I know more about Jamaica than I have ever been taught about. There you go

Driver was 30 minutes late picking us up and then advised that he was late because he had been trying to contact our Guide for the tour and hadn't been able to. Went to pick her up and she was a no show so he decided to go pick up all the passengers with hopes of contacting her before we got out of Montego Bay. Didn't happen so we went to Kingston, he drove us around town pointing out various sights but offering limited commentary. The only stops where we got off the bus was at the Bob Marley Museum and for lunch at a shopping center! Told us we had to be finished by 3PM because that's when traffic started to get congested and he wanted to be out of there and back on the road! Definitely not what we paid for!
