Know More about this tour
Continue to the guest apartments, with their richly ornate dcor, and then take a turn around the Franz Karl Apartments, which were once occupied by the emperors parents.
With your audio tour over, head inside the Ehrenhof restaurant, adjacent to the main palace entrance. Or, in the summer months (from May to September), take a seat outside at a table on the garden terrace. Whatever the location, a 3-course Austrian meal awaits. Read the Itinerary for a sample menu.
After dinner, make your way to the palace Orangery for your classical music concert. In the historical setting, take your seat in your chosen ticket category: VIP, A, B and C, referring to the front, middle and rear of the auditorium respectively.
Then, sit back and listen to an ensemble from the Schnbrunn Palace Orchestra perform overtures and operatic arias by Mozart and Strauss. Examples of the pieces played include Le Nozze di Figaro, Don Giovanni, Radetzkymarsch and more. The ensemble is accompanied by a soprano and baritone as well as two ballet dancers. If you chose to book a VIP or category A seat, your ticket includes a glass of fizz during the intermission.
08.01.-31.03.2019 Concert Location: The White-and-Gold-Room

This most magnificent Rococo ceremonial hall has tall windows and crystal mirrors, a white-and-gold stucco decoration and ceiling frescos by the Italian artist Gregorio Guglielmi.

A fabulous opulent palace well worth seeing. Audio tour was informative, but my headset didn't work and had to share my husbands.
Dinner in the restaurant was lovely, but set menu and no choices.
Bit of a faf collecting tickets - why they can't be all in one place instead of spread out so much is maddening and a long walk in between each.
The tour and dinner were good. Disappointed with set up for music. Seemed too touristy for me. No program. Did not announce music. Did not enjoy the dancers. Distracted from music
The castle was fantastic to visit, the 3 course dinner was just OK, but the Mozart/Strauss concert was wonderful!
Great evening!! Allow yourself 3-4 hours before dinner to tour palace, zoo, and gorgeous gardens. The place you pick up tickets is far from the main gate just keep walking.
The Schönbrunn Palace was a beautiful location. Was lovely to walk around the palace and garden and enjoy the evening before the wonderful concert. Just before we we had dinner which was quite nice for a set menu. We were able to pick decent wines to accompany and then we were led to the concert hall where the show did not disappoint. The orchestra, singers and dancers really brought the wonderful music to life and made for a magical evening In Vienna. Recommend this tour for sure.
Visiting Schoenbrunn is a must if you are in Vienna. I booked the tour with dinner and concert because I didn’t have much time and wanted to get a “taste” of everything in a few hours. The tour of the palace was fantastic and the concert great! The dinner wasn’t too bad but it was just not what I expected.
We really enjoyed the opportunity to see the Palace in our own time. The dinner was delicious and presented and served really well. The concert was also excellent. A great tour. Give yourself plenty of time to visit the gardens as they are very big and worth spending lots of time in them.
It'd not hurt to include the timing of the guided tour in your write up to prevent any unpleasant surprises. We only found out that the last tour is at 4.30pm when we arrived at the ticket office at 5.15pm. Although we were given the option of going back the next day, it'd mean changing your plans.
The 3 course dinner was poor and not worth the price.
While the performers were good, they were let down by the acoustic of the hall. Also the seats were uncomfortable.
The saving grace from our experience is the garden around the palace which is free of charge.
Great event but be forewarned, your ticket does not provide a time for entry, which is assigned at the ticket office itself (not where you pick up your passes), and could be many hours later than your arrival. Large crowds appear in the AM, we got there at 10 and were assigned a 3:30 tour! Also, we booked the top tier concert seats (first 3 rows) and WELL worth the cost. Strongly suggested.
This was a wonderful tour of an amazing place the dinner was wonderful to experience real Vienesse food and the concert was just spine tingling in the amazing golden hall .So worth it and the gardens were lovely too. The carriage museum is excellent also
