  • food was fresh and delis, good variety. ship sail steady and calm. overall experience was good.

  • Well worth the money. Lunch and a cruise to view Sydney Harbors sights. Opera house, bridge and inlets of the bay.

  • It was a hot and steamy day when we walked the wharf to board the lunch cruise. although we had every intention of roaming around on the top level outside in order to take pictures in Sydney Harbour it was just too hot. We had window seats at our table and the windows were clean enough to get terrific photos where we sat. I highly recommend paying the extra charge to get that window table if you're anticipating taking photos. Not necessary if you're simply there for the food and ambiance. The food was fresh, flavourful and lots of variety for every picky eater. Booking through Viator made this special event such an easy process.

  • OMG, we enjoyed our This Harbor Cruise which was done by Captain Cooks! The food was fanastic we didnt go on the cruise with high expectations on the food and we were blown away. There is a full bar so you can purchase anything you want or purchase the wine and beer package. The harbor is beautiful and is a mianstay of Sydney. Highly recommend this tour!

  • OK seafood buffet-couldn't hear the audio tape over the loud speakers very well. Views were nice, but would not repeat. Dinner cruise has better food and views of the harbor lights. .

  • My wife and I went on a Captain cook Seafood Buffet Lunch Cruise, Sydney Harbour Dec 22, 2017.
The staff young asian man, early 20s stood at the entrance of the ship to greet visitors. He was sour faced and rude to my wife Chinese origin and by action showed that he did not like her.
Although the sea food and other staff were okay, the initial negative interaction defined our trip as a negative experience.

  • It was ok, but if I had to do over, I would just take a boat tour of the harbor and then have a nice lunch somewhere on land

  • The cruise route is lovely and we had perfect weather. I imagine it would not be so great in rain. Unfortunately speakers over the area we sat in did not work so we could not hear the commentary. The staff were non-responsive about this. In any event, we had our own wifi and used google maps and wikipedia to find out more about specific areas we were viewing. The tour length is a good amount of time teenagers were getting bored about 15 mins before finish.

The organisation for this tour is appalling. Commenced with mixed instructions regarding where to board, with staff all giving different boarding gates for our tickets. We booked 4 weeks in advance, and booked guaranteed window seats, which cost more money. When we got on board, we were given a table in the middle of the boat, no window view at all. We informed the staff, who were rude and did not believe us regarding specific payment for window seats. They blamed the booking company Viator for not passing on this information. Viator have not responded to our information about this problem yet. Eventually, although clearly not believing us, the head staff member moved us to the only vacant window table that was left after everyone boarded. The whole situation was very unpleasant and a bad start to the tour.

The seafood lunch is nothing special. It is equivalent to a buffet at Sizzler, with less choice. The seafood prawns, oysters, mussels, crab stick salad was plentiful but average in quantity. The mussels were inedible. There was a choice of two hot dishes and rice, plus two very average salads. Dessert was a choice of three different cakes little squares, average quality and cheese. Alcohol was about the same price you would pay in a Sydney pub. Queue for food was manageable, alcohol service was slow.

If I was going to cruise the Harbour again, I would try a tour without food. Booking a cheaper and slightly shorter cruise and having a meal in one of the seafood restaurants at Darling Harbour would be overall better quality and value.

  • Good experience buffet was excellent we were told to book and it cost extra for a window seat was a bit of a free for all so save some money and take your chance

  • The tour itself was very good, the staff were really attentive and caring, the food was excellent.
We enjoyed the wines and they were happy to serve us more white wine since we don't drink red.
But the tourist information side was disappointing. We couldn't hear the commentary over the conversations going on around us.
We understand that if the commentary is too loud there are complaints.
We would suggest earphone options at the tables.
