Overview

While you are in Madrid, dont miss the chance to visit Segovia on a tour where you can admire the main attractions of this city, one of the most visited in Spain.

Know More about this tour

Segovia is a World Heritage City, with unique monuments that alone make a visit well worthwhile. This route will get to know the city in one day.

You will also get to know The Royal Palace of La Granja de San Ildefonso, also known as “La Granja”, where you’ll get to discover the building and its gardens. You’ll also visit the Alcazar and the Aqueduct, and you’ll get a pan- panoramic view of the Cathedral of Segovia and San Martin’s church.

In between the visit to La Granja and the tour around Segovia, if you select the option, you’ll get to enjoy a traditional lunch from the area to make this a more pleasant experience. If not, you’ll have free time to walk around the streets of Segovia.

The aqueduct was about 15 km long and supplies water near the actual marsh of Revega. The Azoguejo Square is the best known and best preserved area.

There is no doubt this is a tour where you will learn a lot about architecture, history and construction on your visit to Madrid.

  • The tour was amazing and the people we lunched with were great. Thanks for the memories.

  • Good bus but clear posting/signage of pick up spot not indicated. Had to guess where pick up would be and bus didn't arrive until 10 minutes before scheduled departure. People should be told there will be lots of walking and some stairs to possibly reduce the number of participants. Two people on tour were slow and complained that they had trouble keeping up. Tour guide was patient with them but it was clear they held most in group back. Lunch was a tight window and left little time for shopping. Guides need to be more clear following arrival in Segovia about bathroom locations. After an hour and half on bus, people need to use a facility.

  • It is perfect.the food is very good, the only problem with us is to eat the baby pig ,perhaps is traditional food but for every body.

  • Too much time at La Granja. Most of the people were finished an hour before departure and then not enough time in Segovia, where after lunch a quick tour of the city was given, and not enough time to go into the cathedral.

  • Very beautiful garden iin La Granja . Heaven for those who likes taking pictures.
However, it is so big that i find it a little short of time to savour it. I would like to go there again on my own, to expereience every part of it.
    Lots of walking needed too

As for Segovia, quite some uphill walkings and there's the beautiful castle to explore at the end of the walk.
Our tour guide did his best to provide explanation for both Spanish and English speakers, quite a tough job when you have so much to explain under the hot sun. Kudos to him!

  • Really scenic! The tour at La Granja was self-guided so I spent the three euros for the audio guide. Segovia was also lovely - I was the only one who bought the lunch upgrade, so it was quite lonely, everyone else had I think two hours free time at that point. As far as I know though if you would like to have lunch at that particular place you can opt in on the day the guide did offer others the option, so something to think about if you're not sure you want to commit to the upgrade online.

  • This was a great trip. Our guide Irene was very knowledgable and personable. The entire format of the tour was very good. First of all the tour bus was waiting when we arrived 10 minutes early. Irene introduced herself and greeted us and marked us present. The bus was very comfortable and well equipped.
Upon approach to La Granja, Irene gave us a rundown on the history and layout of the upcoming attraction as well as explainign what we would be doing during this part of the tour.
La Granja was beautiful and we had plenty of time to see everything without feeling rushed. Then we got back on the bus and continued on to Segovia. Arriving in Segovia, we were given time to have lunch. We arrived a bit early and they cleverly organised the meeting time to allow for the restaurants to open and serve us without being rushed. The walking tour was very good and the time allocated to the free time was very appropriate and we had a pleasant walk back through the lovely city to the bus.

  • Fantastic day in La Granja and Segovia. Everything on time, comfortable bus, great, historic towns and superb tour guide, Helena.
