Know More about this tour

Ever popular, modern Fiat 500s are frequent sights on Florence's streets, but the vintage models are harder to find. Luckily for you, you will drive one of these rare classics -- a lovingly restored 1960s model -- on your Fiat 500 tour of Tuscany!

After meeting your guide, walk to the garage where you will find your vintage car ready and waiting. Listen to a safety briefing before taking part in a practice session, aimed to get you familiar with the car's manual gears.

Following your attentive guide (who will be in constant radio contact throughout the tour), drive through Florence's quieter streets and out into the Tuscan hills.

First stop is the Church of San miniato al monte, perched on a hill overlooking the city. After enjoying the views, step inside the Romanesque structure, and see why many call it Italy's most beautiful church.

Driving further into Tuscany, pass through quaint villages, attracting smiles from passersby. Enjoy the attention from onlookers as you make several stops for photos, to chat with your guide or to switch drivers if you wish.

Before returning, stop for a meal on a private terrace in the hills. Dishes vary, but will always be typically Tuscan. Expect antipasti, featuring delights such as crostini with tomatoes and locally cured salami. Its a beautiful ending to your day in Tuscany!

Itinerary:

Please note: Fiat 500s are small compared to most of today’s cars, so with comfort in mind, bookings are only accepted for a maximum of three adults, or two adults and two children, per car.

Should your group be larger, no worries – up to 15 people can book, and each group will be divided into separate cars, traveling together in a colorful convoy.

This activity was one of the highlights of our trip to Italy. It was fun and easy to drive an old Fiat. You must know hoy to drive a stick shift. The drive thru the countryside was beautiful with great stops along the way. Our lunch was outstanding!

This has to go on your list of things to do in Florence. Great drive up into the Tuscan hills with a stop for lunch and a glass of Chianti. Our guide was great with some informative commentary along the way.

Because the Vespas and the cars (we were in a car) were together we spent over an hour of our tour sitting and waiting for one of the Vespas to be repaired. About half of the tour was downtime sitting around because the tour guide could not leave the couple on the Vespa and could not get it to run. Dario our guide was excellent

Great fun to drive a vintige Fiat 500 through Firenze and outside the city. The tour was combined with a group of Vespa drivers. That's maybe something worth considering changing... I think some roads were not that suitable for scooters and to split up cars and scooters, with each group having a guide of their own, may also be a bit safer. The lunch was very good. Would absolutely recommend it.

This is a no brainer. So much fun, and a great way to see the surrounding area too actually. Make sure whoever is driving has driven manual a bunch though, these things aren't easy to drive at first. They really throw you in the deep end into Florence traffic right off the bat too, so you're gonna want a confident driver. Really though, this is easily the best €110 I ever spent. We were gone for nearly 5 hours, and the meal was great too, with amazing views. Coming back into the city was incredible, crowds gathered and applauded us as we drove through the streets of Florence. A very cool memory. You'd be a fool not to do this.

Our tour driving through Florence was a great experience. It was fun, we got to have lunch, sightsee and had just enough time driving in these cool little cars.
Our tour leader Was Christian, he was very patient and knowledgeable.
Thanks for a fun day out

We did the Fiat tour rather than the Vespa because my son was not old enough to drive the Vespa, but the tour actually had both Vespa's and Fiat's. The cars were cute and they did give you a brief over view of the operation of the car. The only thing that was different than a typical manual now a days was that to start, you turned the key and then the ignition was a lever on the floor. It had a choke as well but we were told not to use that. Also you could not down shift to first. You had to come to a complete stop then shift to first. The reverse was a typical but everyone seemed to have trouble getting the cars into reverse. It was a little hectic getting out of the city and keeping the group together but the guide was very patient and stopped the group and waited for the cars in the back to catch up through light and turns as needed. The lunch was nice but nothing fancy, the scenery was beautiful. I would have liked to go further into the country. We did stop a couple of places (a church and vineyard where the guide gave us some history and wine making information).

This experience was a blast! It was great to leave the city behind and see the gorgeous countryside of Tuscany. The views of Florence were incredible and the Italian dinner at the end was wonderful!

We enjoyed this activity, getting out of the city was nice and it was fun to have people waving at our caravan of vehicles along the road. Dinner was nice and in a beautiful spot.
