Overview

Private Tour is too expensive and Bus Group tours are not very personal. This is a perfect tour for you. Usually there will be only one other couple or two. We guarantee no more then 8 people on this trip. Sometimes you may be lucky and the only group on the tour and we will still honor our commitment and not cancel the trip. The guide gets ample time to work with each couple one on one and you are not in a herd of sheep. Departing Fresno or Oakhurst, this8-hour tour of Yosemite National Park covers some of the Yosemite Valley's natural highlights. Capture photos ofBridalveil Falls,Half Dome, Yosemite Falls and Yosemites high country, and hike down the 4-Mile Trail between spring and fall. Ahwahnee Lunch, entrance fees, and hotel pickup and drop-off are included. Please note if you plan to do the 4 mile hike there will not be enough time for you to have lunch in Ahwahnee so we will provide you with a picnic lunch.

Know More about this tour

Your day begins with pickup in either Fresno, Oakhurst, or Fish Camp aboard a comfortable touring vehicle. From here, enjoy a scenic journey to Yosemite, entering through the parks Southgate entrance.

Stop at Chinquapin and Glacier point, an overlook offering remarkable views of Yosemite valley, Half dome, Yosemite falls, and Yosemites high country. After a short walk, you can gaze over the valley, including Curry Village and the renowned Majestic Yosemite Hotel (formerly The ahwahnee), and take in picture-perfect views of the surrounding mountaintops.

Between spring and fall, you also have the option of hiking Glacier Points 4-Mile Trail, which ends on Southside Drive. From here, simply hop on a shuttle or continue across the Swinging Bridge to Yosemite valley Lodge, where youll meet back up with your guide.

For those whod prefer to stay on the bus, you'll make your way down to the Yosemite Valley, starting from the Tunnel view to take in spectacular views of Bridalveil fall, El capitan, The Chapel, Sentinel bridge, Half dome and Yosemite falls.

The group will then break for lunch, along with an easy walk to the base of Yosemite Falls. Youll also have time to peruse the souvenir gift shops.

After dining, you'll pay a visit to the meadows in front of El capitan to see if anyone is rock climbing, an extremely popular park activity.

Next, continue on with a drive alongside the Merced River and learn a bit about President Theodore Roosevelts 3-night camping trip with naturalist John Muir, who successfully lobbied for the creation of Yosemite national park.

Time permitting on return trip includes a stop at The Pioneer Village History Center for some exploring and also a visit to the historical landmark Wawona Hotel, a perfect place for viewing the parks young sequoias.

Mike was very knowledgeable about the history of the park as well as being funny!. We thoroughly enjoyed our trip & will definitely recommend it to others. It was sad that Glacier Point was closed, but it was still so very worth using Crossroads!! We skipped the lunch at the Ahwahnee Hotel because we did not want to wait for 1 and 1/2 hours to eat. We were still given the option the night before, but we opted for them to bring us lunch instead. The lunch was great!! Plus it gave us more time to see the sights. Recommend this tour group as one of the best!

I highly recommend Crossroads Tours! We were picked up in Fresno, and taken to Yosemite for a full day of touring the park, and then brought back to Fresno. Julie, the tour guide, was knowledgeable and very flexible in dealing with the different requests of the group. A thanks to Jamie and Daniel, who took us to and from Fresno. This was an excellent way of seeing the park, if you are interested in hitting the highlights, and don't want to drive yourself.

Viator was very efficient throughout the registration process and sent periodic reminders about our trip via text and email as the tour date approached. The representative on the phone at the time we signed up was helpful, knowledgeable and friendly, and subsequent calls closer to the date were made to review lunch choices and give us revised pickup times. (Hotel pickup was one of the reasons we chose this tour.) On the day of our tour, the Crossroads Tours vehicle (clearly marked) pulled up on time (even a few minutes early) and we were on our way to Yosemite! Our tour guide, Rose, was well acquainted with the park, as she has been going there since she was a child. Her personal experiences blended with her wealth of knowledge about Yosemite made it an informative and very enjoyable day. The tour includes some uphill walking on trails, so sneakers were a must. The picnic lunch was tasty and they were able to accommodate my dietary needs. Plenty of water was provided along the way, and there are restrooms at most areas where we stopped in the park. Rose was extremely friendly and easy to get along with, and her love for Yosemite was evident. Some highlights were the walk through the Tuolumne Grove of towering redwoods, the picnic lunch and mini tour of the Ahwahnee Hotel, the spectacular views of El Capitan (Binoculars were provided to look for climbers!) and the Tunnel View. A wonderful day!

Everything was perfect, from the booking process to the end of the tour. The route was awesome, Mick showed us a lot of beautiful places explaining us all the things we wanted to know about Yosemite. We recommend Crossroad Tours to all of you who want to visit this amazing national park, and ask for Mick. Thank you so much Mick!!!

This tour was a great way to see the major highlights of Yosemite. Our tour guide, Daniel was excellent - very knowledgeable about the park’s history, the surrounding communities, and even the Yosemite trees. He made several unplanned stops which were great for us to see different views of El Capitan and Half Dome. My family of 5 which included 3 teenage girls really learned alot and really enjoyed the whole tour, so I highly recommend Crossroads Tours!
