We had our twin toddlers with us and were visiting Sevilla, as we were living in Spain for 6 months. We had kinda seen all that we wanted to see in Sevilla. Aquariums are in every big city and plenty of smaller ones and most are just okay. I would say this aquarium ranks as “just okay” but what we loved about it was that since Sevilla has so much to offer, not many tourists are flocking to the aquarium. Walking up to the building, I really wondered if it was open. There appeared to be no one around, no cars, nothing. The signage was poor. It was around 10:45am and the aquarium theoretically had opened up at 10am (for the months of July & August was what I had read). It was €18/ea for us 2 adults but our 2 year olds were free. We had read to plan on spending anywhere from 1.5-3hrs here. With a meltdown wrapping up our visit, we spent about 1.5hrs here. But prior to that, our kids really enjoyed spending a lot of time in the room with the large tank, watching the turtles, sharks, etc. swim by. They also loved the regular tanks, when you first walk in, because they are full of fun different things, usually a variety of fun animals & plants. The rock structure at the bottom does make it hard for kids to really get close, whereas some of the later tanks are flush against the wall, allowing the kids to get close. Like many aquariums, there is a great jellyfish tank and a moderate touch pool. There was at least one stingray (I'm guessing but could have been a manta ray) that had a bloodied stump in the touch tank. Perhaps it had just been done and/or that's normal but it was a little shocking to see. One of my favorite memories & pictures from my kids life thus far is at the end of our visit, when my daughter was having a meltdown and just laying on the floor quietly, my son went and grabbed the stroller and asked her if she wanted to get in. Not specific to the aquarium but it holds a special place in my heart because of that memory :) At the end, you exit through the gift shop, not unlike most places. Our kids spent like 15 minutes picking out toys and the staff were really gracious and patient with our kids. This was one of the first times we had ever let them pick out any toys anywhere so they were really into it. We end up buying 2 toys - 1 of which, a stuffed shark, is still well-loved at home, even almost a year later.

Bello.

Was ein Abenteuer.

Aquariums are one of my favourite activities. The Seville aquarium was a modest size with a very manageable amount of both fresh and salt water fish to enjoy in under 90 minutes. My favourite were the jellyfish which I could watch for hours as well as a large tetra habitat which I hadn’t seen before. Signage was in Spanish and English which includes lots of education about plastics in our water system. There was a small cafeteria and gift shop. I found the 18 Euro for an adult to be quite pricey. This aquarium is adjacent to a very nice park.
