Know More about this tour

Start your day with a hotel pickup from the Algarve, and travel east to Spain and the southern city of Seville. After roughly two hours on the road from the main meeting point, arrive into the city and set out to discover its famous sights on a walking tour.

Explore Maria Luisa Park, and hear how its centerpiece square and palace complex Plaza de Espaa was created for the 1929 Ibero-American Exposition Worlds Fair. Set in the middle of the parks elaborate Moorish-style gardens, Plaza de Espaa was built in a classic Renaissance Revival style, and is now home to several important Government buildings.

Head inside the main palace building to see its two towers and the impressive courtyard fountain, and then leave the park to explore the surrounding Seville neighborhoods. Wander around pretty Santa Cruz, admiring its cluster of whitewashed houses and lively tapas bars that spill onto the streets, and then stop for photos outside Seville Cathedral, one of the worlds largest Gothic cathedrals.

Walk around the outside of Real Alcazar Palace, home of King Juan Carlos, and admire its array of architectural styles that range from Moorish to Neoclassical. Your walking tour finishes after seeing the palace, where your guide will leave you to enjoy 3 hours of free time.

Sightsee independently, shop for souvenirs or relax over lunch in one of the citys atmospheric tapas bars (own expense); how you enjoy your free time is up to you! Then, meet your guide at the prearranged time and travel back to your hotel in the Algarve where your day trip finishes.

  • Trip was well orginized. The only down side was the long bus drive but that's because we were comiong from Lagos, Portugal.

  • In hindsight I would not have taken the day trip. The pick-up and drop-off from all the hotels and cities takes THREE hours. The tour is not a guided tour. The guide gives some highlights and history during the journey to Seville and you are pretty much on your own when they drop you off in the city center. In all, we had four hours on our own, and due to the long line-up at the Palace, that is the only thing we were able to see.
Seville does seem to be beautiful and absolutely worth exploring, but the day trip is not the way to do it.

  • Pretty much what we expected it was more Transportation to Seville than a Tour.

  • This tour tries to please everyone but doesnt succeed in doing so. The group, at 51 persons, was far too big. A small group of 5 or 6 would work much better. Ana, our tour leader provided an overview and an orientation of the main points of interest in Seville, but it could never be a guided tour because of the large group size. Whisper sync headsets would help too if it were a true guided tour.
We were picked up in a town 20 minutes drive from our accommodation, nothing closer was acceptable to the company. But the biggest inconvenience was their insistence on a printed voucher for the tour. Very few people pack a portable printer when they travel, and it was almost impossible to find a business which was willing to print our voucher, either in the Algarve or in Lisbon. The company states that electronic copies of their voucher on a smart phone are acceptable, yet insisted we have a printed copy because the local provider did not have a means of scanning the electronic voucher.

  • A great way to see some highlights of Seville in a day. It was great to be picked up and dropped off at your hotel so no worries. It was a very long day but we knew that ahead of time. The bus was very comfortable.

  • Great tour of Seville if short on time. Early pickup, which went smoothly. It was a long day but to be expected. We choose the Seville gothic cathedral, which was spectacular and enjoyed some shopping.

  • This was more a busride to Seville than a guided tour. I think more time should have been allotted in the city. We only had enough time to tour the Cathedral, which was amazing, and eat lunch before having to return to the bus. A departure at 6 pm instead of 3 pm would have allowed us to see some other things, like the Plaza de Espana. If you go mind your time and pick your one or two hot spots, you won't have time for much more.

  • This tour was amazing!

  • Beautiful city of Seville. We were picked up very early and had to travel west as far as Albafeura before we headed to Seville- however well worth it! The bus driver was Paulo and Dominique was an amazing and informative guide with the ability of at least 5 languages. Be careful that you don't get ripped off with the horse and carriage ride- settle what you are able to pay before you get on! The river cruise was lovely and cool.

  • Would recommend this tour. We were picked up in Quarteira at 5.45. When we got to Seville we had a short tour of the city on the bus before Celia led us on foot to the historic centre and gave helpful information. We then had nearly 5 hours free time.
