Took a bunch of friends to The Cutting Room to see the Shake Rattle & Roll Dueling Pianos show… and it was glorious! A perfect way to spend a Saturday night, especially if you are a music fan and enjoy a good laugh. The Cutting Room itself is super cool- a humungous chandelier made of electric guitars descends majestically from the ceiling, the bar is ultra-swanky, and the show room has a big stage, with good viewing from virtually all angles. We sat just left of center, about 20 feet from the lip of the stage. Staff was on point, and food/drinks were surprisingly good- particularly in comparison to the typical “live music” venue. And the show itself? Well, it is pretty incredible. Two pianists/vocalists (accompanied by a drummer), who for three hours straight perform anything the crowd requests. And I mean ANYTHING. There are request slips on the tables- you write down any song you want to hear, bring it up to the stage (along with some cash to sweeten the deal)… and your song WILL be played. You can also make your requests by Venmo, which is convenient if a) you don’t carry cash, or b) as the “master of ceremonies” Mark said, you are “a lazy bastard or love your drink too much to part from it”, LOL. Go crazy with your requests. “Bohemian Rhapsody”? They can do it. “Devil Went Down to Georgia”? Done… complete with FIDDLE!!! (which was played with virtuosic talent by Mark’s piano partner, Sean). Billy Joel and Elton John? All “piano men” are covered. “Gin & Juice”? Yup. Even rap is on the menu. Of course, if you make crazy requests, be ready for some gentle (or not so gentle) roasting by your piano hosts, who will question your musical taste and perhaps your sanity… but it still won’t stop them from performing your tunes. Mark was hilarious, and quick on his feet with the jokes, and had the entire room in the palm of his hand. I was amazed at how much energy these guys had- three hours-plus, and they were still bringing it fiercely. It was most impressive. The show was described to us as “a human jukebox”. That was a very apt analogy. Put your coin in the machine and press the button (or in this case, put your request slip and $ on the pianos), and groove to your favorite song. Pretty simple. NYC is known for its live music scene, and this Dueling Pianos show would have to be right at the top. A fantastic option if you’re in town…

We didn't really know what to expect, having only heard about "dueling pianos", but the main guy made it clear, right at the beginning of the show, that it was going to be a raucous night! We sang along, and clapped along all night (my wife even got up and danced at one point, which she NEVER does!). The piano players seemed to know every single song people requested, which blew my mind. At the end of the night, we were hoarse from singing along and the smile muscles in our faces were sore. Don't miss this show!

Didn’t know what to expect. Firstly I was impressed by how many songs the piano players could play because the audience decides the show based on their requests, so you never know what’s coming next. Lots of comedy sprinkled in as well. We drank the whole time and it’s basically a singalong so we had a great time. It’s like a piano bar but bigger venue and more comedy. They also brought a bridesmaid on stage to perform a song which was hilarious.

December 2021 I had SRR Dueling Pianos play at our after party at our wedding! They got the party restarted after the reception and kept it going late into the night. Mark was so easy to work with since we had to shift the date 11 months (due to covid). Mark made it so easy! I had nothing to worry about. Mark and Sean were there and set up so as soon as the reception ended they invited everyone into the next section of the venue and everyone could keep partying! January 2023 I highly recommend using SRR Dueling Pianos for ANY party! Mark is super easy and flexible to work with. He brings so much fun and life to any party! We had my 40th birthday party in January and between Mark and Sean and the vibe they bring everyone was up dancing. 7pm came and no one wanted to leave. Everyone asked where/when they could see them again! Sean is outstanding and together they know any song! Everyone loved being able to request a song! They pulled my party together and I could never have another party with out them. See you guys January 2024!!!!! NYC with SRR Dueling Pianos I have never seen such a high energy show! Mark is amazing and keeps the crowd engaged and singing along ALL night! The show is fun and will make you laugh! How he delivers jokes and songs is outstanding. No matter where we travel there are no other shows which compare to a Shake Rattle and Roll show! Virginia Beach with SRR Dueling Pianos I also get the opportunity to see SRR Dueling Pianos at the Apex and Dave and Busters in VA Beach. Every show Mark does is amazing and different. At any show both players get the crowd engaged and keep them singing thru the night. I have never seen a show where the crowd isn't laughing and smiling. He brings high energy and is extremely enthusiastic and that is seen thru every single show he does (no matter the venue!) I highly recommend hiring SRR for your parties or seeing them at a show! You'll learn new songs, new jokes and have non stop fun! Cheers!!!

So fun!! One of the best dueling pianos shows I've seen. There's this crazy fiddle guy, and the host runs a tight show. They also have a great drummer. If you don't know what dueling pianos is, basically you request a song, put some dough on it and send it up to them on stage. They then comically explain that they play the most "important" ones (with the most cheddar) first. It's hilarious. But they know TONS of songs, it's kinda wild. They rocked my Toto song and I had a blast. 5/5!!

We went to Dueling Pianos for a Bachelorette Party--it was SUCH a great time! Everyone loved it, our bachelorette got called out for a routine in the spotlight, it was a really unique experience and we all want to go back!
