Attention for all travelers in Shanghai and even people who live in Shanghai ! Charlie Is absolutely delightful Shanghai guide, you can dive with her through history of old and modern Shanghai, a lot of architecture a lot of hidden places, I was surprised to see what is all behind the glamorous part of SH. I absolutely loved it, thank you so much Charlie, I would like to take other tours with you next time I’m coming. She also can advise everything about places to go, we tried traditional snacks, and vintage bikes feel so nice, nothing like the cheap rental once. To sum it up, if you interested in culture - this tour is must have 🥰

Amazing tour with Charlie and Q! Fabulous bikes, superb local food in places we would never have known about and a great way to learn more about Shanghai! Highlights were the xaolongbao and gorgeous vegetarian food (which tasted like meat 😳) but overall it was the tour guides who make this trip, super interesting, friendly and fun!

My partner and I are expats living in Shanghai. As we can’t travel at the moment we decided to do a bike tour during our CNY holiday. Our guide Q was absolutely great. He was incredibly knowledgable and keen to ask any questions we had whilst on the tour. The bikes were very comfortable to ride and water was provided. We visited lots of interesting locations we would never have found by ourselves and we even stopped for some delicious local cuisine for lunch. This is definitely one of the best tours we’ve ever been on - we recommend it highly!

Very nice way to discover part of Shanghai that we had not really seen or pay attention to! Our son really enjoyed it! Thanks! We had a great Sunday morning!

I loved my morning bike ride through the French Concession! In fact, I enjoyed it so much, I've already signed up for Culture Shock's evening tour. Charlie was a great guide. She was extremely knowledgeable about the area and about Shanghai in general. She was also friendly and confident; I felt like I was in safe hands as she guided us along the roads on our beautiful vintage bikes (something I had been a little nervous about!). The tour was well structured, with a balance of time on the bikes and time walking around some of the stops (e.g. a secret temple and a frankly utopian park). All of the places we visited were fascinating and some I found truly enchanting. The tour also included a delicious, light vegetarian lunch in a location I would not have easily found myself. The ride was also very relaxing and well paced - totally accessible for all levels of fitness. I'm new in town and signed up for the tour so I could get to know a different part of Shanghai, increase my confidence on the roads and to potentially make some new friends. I feel like all my goals were achieved and I can't imagine a better way to explore the city.

One of the things I like to do when visiting a city is go on a Bicycle Tour. Here in Shanghai, Culture Shock fit the bill, with their morning tour, lasting for about four hours and taking us to places I otherwise wouldn't have visited. Let by a knowledgeable guide, we were led through both old and new parts of town, including a park and temple. Intermitted with a delicious vegetarian lunch, the company was great, the weather perfect, and the tour incredible. Having done bicycle tours in different countries around the world, I firmly believe it is the best way to see a city, and for Shanghai, Culture Shock can't be beat!

I took the morning bike tour with Charlie, our tour guide. Charlie knew many good spots in Shanghai, even after I have lived here for years. I would suggest anyone to go on this tour, whether it's a visitor to Shanghai or someone who has lived here for a long time. The stop on the bridge was my favorite spot, giving you a different angle of the famous skyline of Shanghai. CultureShock definitely takes you "off the beaten path" while you glide through the streets of Shanghai on beautiful vintage bikes

Did the bike tour with 4 friends and we have all been living / working in shanghai for 20 (and over) years. I wasn’t expecting much as I thought I had seen all that Shanghai had to offer. I couldn’t be more wrong.not only was our guide Nicolas very knowledgeable, the tour allowed me to fall in love with Shanghai again. Deeply Fascinating. We want to do the evening tour with our families. This bike tour is a must ! Don’t miss it.

We had a tour bike with a group of expat friends, all living in Shanghai for more than 16 years.... and our guide Nicolas managed to surprise with plenty stories about the old Shanghai and its fascinating characters! Strongly recommended for visitors but even more for local residents (be them foreigners or Shanghainese)!
