Standing on the top deck of the cruise, and have a glimpse of Shanghais past and look into the bright future of the city. Your cruise offers a great view of the grand colonial buildings along west side of the Bund, such as the famous Peace hotel, Shanghai Pudong Development Bank and etc.. Turn towards east side, you will see the skyscrapers of shanghai, like Oriental Pearl TV Tower, World Financial Center, and Shanghai Tower (the tallest building in China).

Xinjiang cuisine is famous in China, and you must try Dapanji (big plate chicken), lamb kebabs, Xinjiang yogurt, and naan(a kind of Xinjiang pancake). Dapanji is the most famous dish, and it's nicely flavored in spices as well as the chopped potato and green paper. It is usually served with hand stretched noodles. The kebabs are tasty. If you don't like lamb, you can choose chicken wings or otherskewers. The yogurt here isquite unique, and it's surely a good match when you have spicy food.

The restaurant offers evening entertainment from 6:30pm to 7:30pm, and there is cultural dancing and belly dancing you can watch. If you are lucky, the dancers will ask you to dance together with them.

  • I would give the tour with Mary five out of five stars. While the sights and lights of the river cruise were amazing, Mary's welcoming attitude, knowledge of Shanghai's history and culture, English language skills, and people skills all combined to make the evening very enjoyable. We would recommend the company, the tour, and Mary to anyone.

  • Worth doing this, we really enjoyed it. We had a short car ride to the Bhund where we got the boat, really enjoyed seeing the Bhund lit up at night. It was quite cold so do dress warmly but we were well prepared with warm coat, hat, scarf and gloves and the cold didn't ruin the experience for us. Our guide Alana, found us seas in the VIP area so we had a good view from the front of the boat on the outside deck. Great photo opportunities and Alana also took photos of us on her i pad which she later emailed to us which was great to get a few photos with us both in. After the boat tour we had a short drive to the restaurant, Paradise Lost I think it was. Alana helped us choose and we were keen to try Shanghai dumplings. They were very good, very tasty. Great food, we selected several dishes and shared them between the three of us. A very easy trip and would recommemd seeing the Bhund at night from a boat and dinner. You could do this trip independently but if you want a no hassle, everything sorted for you approach, take this tour! Alana very helpful, her English is rxcellent and she explained what many of the buildings were along the Bhund together with a bit of the history of Shanghai and lead us through the menu too.

  • Queena, or guide for that private 2 people tour, was excellent ! We had the choice to choose the kind of meal for dinner: We chose shanghainese cuisine and it was really great. During the cruise, we were placed on a privileged part of the ship. Thus, we enjoyed a lot the nice views of Shanghai night from the river. Thanks a lot for everything Queena !

  • The meal was excellent. Queena was delightful and anxious to make sure we had a good time. We had the best seats in the house for the river cruise. We would recommend her to anyone visiting Shanghai. From Clement Kelly.

  • Summer was a great guide, very nice and knowledgeable. She and the driver were kind, careful and punctual. The restaurant Summer took us to was also very nice, with fresh and well cooked food, which we enjoyed very much. The river cruise was really nice, and Summer provided a lot of information regarding both sides of Shanghai. We will suggest our friends to take this tour if they happen to visit Shanghai in the future. Review from Cristina and Luis Menendez

  • I'm definitely glad we did this tour. I was a little disappointed that it rained, but it was still a great view of the Bund anyway and it was really nice to be able to see all of the buildings lit up while you're on the boat tour. Since it rained, our tour guide was able to upgrade our tickets and we had a private room and deck on the boat and we had complimentary snacks. We had dinner before the tour. I was a little surprised what our private guide ate with us and shared communal food so I would have preferred if that had been made more clear before dinner. It was worth it for the view and boat ride even with the bad weather and the other surprises at dinner.

  • I give the tour 5 stars, everything was as stated on the brochure. The guide was waiting for me at 5pm in the lobby. I was driven to a very nice restaurant and the guide was helpfully letting me know about my surroundings and interesting facts about Shanghai. The meal was excellent and more than I could eat and the floor show was interesting. The driver did not keep us waiting at any point. The cruise was spectacular with the guide paying extra so I could get a seat at the front of the boat. All in all I was very happy with the tour and would recommend it to any one looking for a lasting memory of Shanghai.

  • Queena was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly with great English and personality - was on time and took us to a very nice local style restaurant where the food was excellent. The driver was punctual and and river cruise was just superb. It was a surprise to be VIP in a special room which made the experience even better. Highly recommend Queena and her company if you are in Shanghai and are looking for a tour.

  • We were two colleagues on a business trip to Shanghai, and had an afternoon available and found this boat trip with Viator. A very charming guide, Alana, picked us up at the Hotel, and took us to a very nice "dumpling" restaurant. In was very interesting to talk to a local girl about the way of life in a fascinating city! The boat trip was amazing, and the Shanghai skyline from the river, at night, with the display of all kinds of colours and lights from amazing buildings, is a must see when visiting! The guide arranged for us to sit outside on the boat, which was great! Thanks a lot! From Petter Slyngstadli.

  • Thanks very much for the very well organized guided tour. Everything was fine from picking up at the hotel to the boat trip, no waiting and VIP entrance, the things Alana told us about Shanghai during the trip to the delicious food place she brought us. We enjoyed the tour and we will recommend to our friends and colleagues.
