Join us on an all inclusive tour and discover a truly special day, where you will experience the Geothermal Wonderland of Rotorua, along with a visit to a Kiwi fruit orchard and much more.

We first take you on a sight seeing drive of Mount Maunganui where you will see the beautiful coastline and one of the best beaches in New Zealand, see the abundant coffee shops, cafes, small boutiques and breath taking scenery, not forgetting the infamous" Mount" which this area is named after. After leaving the beachfront we head into the countryside as we make our way to Rotorua. We journey through lush countryside traveling by stunning lakes, deep forestry and the first hints of the geothermal area we are traveling too.

In Rotura, your friendly guide a local Maori descendant of early Maori guides who have shaped tourism in New Zealand for generations will take you on a tour and experience an authentic village where people live daily using the natural geothermal resources to cook, bathe and heat their homes.  Then walk around a strange and unforgiving landscape and journey where history, culture, and nature collide; where local Maoris showcase their vibrant Maori culture in a performance of dance and song - a show not to be missed!  Even the architecture tells a story with Maori carvings and structures that hold deep cultural significance's.  You will see mud pools, steam vents, boiling pools and geysers including the largest in the southern hemisphere.  Learn how the residents utilize and respect the ever-changing forces beneath their land.

We then take a leisurely drive around the highlights of Rotorua, taking in the beauty this town has to offer.

After leaving Rotorua, we will head to Te Puke - a suburb of Tauranga - where you will have the opportunity to visit a working kiwi fruit orchard. You will have the opportunity to see the fuzzy little fruit growing while learning a little knowledge about why this fruit thrives here! You have the chance to walk under the vines and get up close to the growing fruit. Learn how this wondrous fruit became established here in New Zealand which, surprisingly, it's not a native plant but an interesting story explains all!

This is a stunning opportunity for photographs! At the end of your tour you will be invited to taste-test different varieties of this fruit plus jams, juices, and much more.

We head back to the port and where we wish you bon voyage !

The tour to Maori Village was very enjoyable and informative. Very authentic with Maori woman guiding through village . Thee show was excellent and fun with music and dancing and singing. This was a wonderfully authentic tour of the Maori steaming vents and their special bubbling muds and gushing geysers. The show was excellent and our tour guide went out of his way to show us the land, lakes, and gardens.magical

New van and driver were waiting for us outside the pier. Driver commentary was clear and appropriate. The kiwi farm tasting was a nice break. The Maori village/geothermal tour and entertainment were more than expected. Everyone in our group liked the lunch choices and setting. On our way back our guide showed us the redwoods and more geothermal sites. Great value!

Awesome tout in Rotorua to see geysers, mud pools and , including the Redwood Forest. Mauri village is very nice, great show. Interesting Kiwi farm , I never see it before. At the farm we got the explanation about Manuka honey.

We were on a cruise and booked this tour independently. Our guide Andrew was very knowledgeable, and I learned a lot from him about the history of New Zealand, and the Rotorua region. There were only 8 of us in the group, so there were plenty of chances to communicate with him. The visit to Whakarewarewa geothermal living Maori Village was good, and this part of the tour was conducted by a local guide. We saw hot pools, boiling mud, geysers, etc The highlight of the visit here was the cultural show that included song, poi dance and haka ceremonial dance. Afterwards we had a nice lunch (preordered with Andrew at the beginning of the tour) at a hotel nearby. After lunch, we stopped by a few places in Rotorua - the rose garden, the redwood memorial grove for a short walk in the forest, and finally a kiwi fruit plantation where we could sample and purchase kiwi fruit product. We were taken back to the port by 4 pm, still had a bit of time to walk around the port area. It was a great excursion and many thanks to Andrew who looked after us nicely all the way. I highly recommend this.

took this tour as opposed to the official cruise ship tour. Apart from it being considerably cheaper we were well looked after. The time at Rotorua cultural experience was very authentic. Excellent tour bus guide in a comfortable mini bus. Lunch at the local hotel was 1st class.
    Recommend this tour.

Very knowledgeable driver, also owner. Enjoyed day: nice lunch, quality food, large portions at nice hotel. Would recommend. Much cheaper than cruise for same tour and in van of 10.

  • 21-Jan-2019

This Tour was Excellent. Our Guide was also Really Good. Our Cruise ship changed their port times the day before and this company was very flexible and accommodating to our schedule changes. The Maori Village we went to in Rotorua was really interesting. We only needed a little more time here to get closer to the Geysers, as the area was quite large. However a lot was also covered. And the day was very enjoyable.

We had a wonderful day. We were collected from the Wharf in Tauranga and saw the local area before driving to Rotorua to see geysers, mud pools and much more, including the Redwood Forest. The complimentary kiwifruit ice-cream at the Orchard was delicious. We were back at the ship with time to spare so went swimming at the local beach. Would thoroughly recommend this tour, great value for money.
