There were three of us and we were picked-up on the outer side of the customs building at the Port of Kusadasi by a wonderful tour guide (not sure of her Turkish name but it means "blue sky"). We first went to Mary's House and then on to Ephesus. Our guide was a wealth of knowledge and gave us time to explore on our own. We stopped for lunch at a typical Turkish restaurant and then went to a pottery place that used quartz clay. It was spectacular. We walked around the oldest town and though it was hot, had an enjoyable day. Our guide was friendly and we couldn't have asked for a better day. This was definitely a highlight of our trip to Greece. Wear good walking shoes as you don't want to slip on the stones in Ephesus and there are a lot of steep walks on stones everywhere we went.
