Fantastic for families & dreamworks fans. Plenty of interactive wiry characters (staff) which really helped to tell the story, my daughters found it all amazing. The 4D bus - outstanding! I thoroughly enjoyed & im 33!

Loved the interactive story all the way around and how everyone gets the chance to be involved. We did have a slight blip on route with one of the sections due to a door malfunction but it was rectified swiftly and didn’t impact our experience that much

Wasn't quite sure what to expect of this, but we all enjoyed it. There was quite a long wait to start the experience which I felt could have had more going on for younger children as boring just stood there, but once inside it was a lot of fun following the characters through different sketches. Word of warning you do get stuck inside a quite dark maze of mirrors, which was unexpected & if you are claustrophobic like me is not fun, but just about bearable for the few minutes inside. I'm not sure if you can bypass this bit as each area leads through to the next. We spent about 90 minutes inside but 30 minutes waiting to start the experience & queuing to have photos taken (you aren't allowed to take any photos yourself) It was good value as I used Tesco boost vouchers so didn't cost us anything, but probably only worth paying the full price if you are a die hard Shrek fan as is otherwise expensive for a family of 4.

As we had Merlin Annual Passes, we decided to give Shrek’s Adventure a go. In a nutshell, I’m glad we did. This activity still seems to take small groups at a time, which I liked. It meant that everyone could see what was going on, and not feel like a sardine. Something that some of the other Merlin attractions would do well to copy. Each section of the adventure is fantastically well themed and interesting. At no point were my children (or myself) bored. Really wasn’t a fan of Cinderella though - no negativity to the actress herself, but hated the whole airhead persona and social media obsession. Other than that though, thought it was good. Photos were steep in price, though the quality was good. Oh and for those who are wondering: there are toilets early on in the attraction, right after you go in the elevator. I believe this is it though.

First of all be prepared to queue when you enter the venue at your time slot! You queue to have a bag check. To get on a lift. To get a photo (via a shop!). More queues in a holding room before the actual tour starts…so a 70 min experience is already down to approx 50 mins! The American accents were very crass sounding and some were so sharp they could cut sandwiches. It all felt a little contrived and the first film after the 4d exp it took me till the end to work out that her texting and using her phone was part of the act…I just thought she was being rude…it did get progressively better…but not fantastic! We liked the fortune teller and the muffin man but there were few highlights….as per usual ended up in the shop…

Really enjoyed this. We went with a 6 year old and a 12 year old and think that's really the perfect age range. There were families with 3 year olds who were really not getting the most out of it as you have to be able to participate. I thought the adventure was excellent. Some of actors spoke slightly too fast so occasionally I wasn't quite sure exactly what was happening but overall it was great. A birthday girl in the birthday sash did probably get the most attention from all the staff and I do feel this is unfair on the other kids. It is a special day for every child (or was for mine) and the attention should be shared around. I don't think the biryhday sashes are a good idea! We bought 2 for 1 adult tickets because we'd travelled by train. Kids tickets weren't 2 for 1 unfortunately. It is an expensive outing really but we felt so many things in London are expensive that it was within the range we were happy to pay.

Had a great experience children's were super happy. Car park at national theatre was only £6.25 which is not too far from Shrek Adventure. Staff at Shrek Adventure was very helpful and professional will definitely come back and recommend to others.

Very disappointed - having two relatively young kids (11 and 9) I felt the whole tiktok / Facebook "likez" type of conversation that was put on by the actors who were also pretending to be American not just cringeworthy but inappropriate. Our kids were some of the older ones there and to be quite frank kids of younger ages don't really need the use of mobile phones pushed down their throats by the actors - they are there to see Shrek not the Emoji movie. The rest of the tour was OK but overpriced.

Much better than I expected. Set up in similar style to the dungeons with actors in each area. They were great. Excellent energy and got the audience involved. Even the teenager liked it. I wouldn’t pay 30 pounds for it but we were able to use Merlin passes so good value.

Went on Thursday lunchtime this week, which was off peak. Walked right in, half an hour earlier than our booked appointment. 12 people in our group. Its extremely well thought out with CGI.. I am not going to say what as I don't want the surprise to go. It really is fabulous. Script and CGI are brilliant. The best though were the actors, especially the boy who played Doris. He was fab-u-lous. I do think it should be longer though. More interactive rooms were needed. Adults and children get involved. Well done Shrek Adventures
