This tour was better than expected. Our tour guide Alberto was very knowledgeable. We booked the tour in late October, didn’t know it’s the low season. It was almost like a private tour. Muyil archeological site was a good walking tour mostly in the jungle so the sun didn’t overwhelmed us too much. The best part was the lazy river float. Very relaxing. Highly recommended this tour
It was a beautiful experience, we saw Ruins and jungle wildlife, then we got on a boat ride and we swam through a beautiful laggon in the ocean extremely fun, are guide was wonderful, gave us so much information.
We did three tours with this company on our honeymoon. All of them were great, but there is something special about Sian Ka'an. Our tour guide Lea was very friendly and knowledgeable, and really wanted to make sure we had a special experience. Because of her vigilance we were able to see howler monkeys in the wild! She also bought my husband a surprise birthday cake at the end of the night, which was so nice. We loved seeing the archaeological site of Muyil, which was very different from all the other Mayan ruins we had seen (Tulum and Chichen Itza). This is where the family of howler monkeys lived. We then went over to the Sian Ka'an biosphere reserve and learned about native plants and legends as we walked through to the boat launch. We stopped partway through to go up a watchtower and see across the reserve, and it was mindblowing. I have never seen water as beautiful as Sian Ka'an in my life. Then we got on boats and motored over to the lazy river part, and that was the highlight of our honeymoon. We floated down the stream in the clear, warm water and just relaxed in the beauty of it all. Absolutely great tour.
We really enjoyed this tour. It was a smaller group so we had plenty of time to talk with our guide Lea. She was very knowledgable about the Muyil site and the local Flora and Fauna. We were incredible lucky to see both Howler and Spider monkeys, and watched a confrontation between them in the canopy top - a memorable experience. The boat trip was fun and floating down the canal was incredibly relaxing. Thanks for a great tour!
My husband and I had an amazing and relaxing time on this tour. We loved the combination of learning about Mayan history, a bit of adventure climbing the tower, and the relaxation of floating through the beautiful mangroves. Our guide Niko went above and beyond to make sure everyone had a great experience (and utilizing all three languages he speaks along the way). Highly recommend for a stress-free, half-day excursion.
THIS IS YOUR SIGN TO BOOK THIS EXCURSION! It is peaceful, fun, and about 5-6 hours long! My husband and I did this on our honeymoon!!! You start the day getting picked up, or meeting at the office in Tulum if you so choose; we got picked up from our resort Dreams Tulum and then we picked up some other adventurers! We then went to Muyil ruins and Carlos was incredible! He explained the ruins, Mayan customs, class system, and history to us as we walked through the temples, saw some caves, and explored the watch tower! Then we walked through the jungle (on a safe path!) and arrived at the beginning of Sian Kaan Biosphere! We got in a speed boat and went across to Sian Kaan for the canal! The boat ride was fun, smooth, and about 10 minutes so pretty fast! My husband who gets sea sick even said it was smooth and he felt great! Then you get out, wear your life vest like a diaper to float for 3-4 miles down the canal; about 30 minutes of floating, seeing fish, seeing birds, just being one with nature peacefully! It was amazing and peaceful and romantic even to just have a moment in nature enjoying the beautiful Sian Kaan biosphere!
Lea took us on a great adventure through a jungle where we saw some Mayan ruins and jungle wildlife and then to a few lagoons by boat where we ended up floating in a canal/river! The float was the best part and lasted about 30-40 minutes! Danny was our dependable and wonderful driver who made sure we were taken care of on the road and at all of our stops. He and Lea made an excellent team and we had a memorable afternoon of fun that I would definitely do again! (Lea also speaks at least 3 languages! Which was convenient because we had English, Spanish and German speakers in our group.)
I liked this tour with Luigi even more than swimming with whale sharks, since i'm getting easily sea sick.. a small tip - for full experience of a lazy river, made by Maya(!) take swimming goggles with you, but make sure you don't lose it in this beautiful water. Many thanks to the team!
This is my second time going on this tour. The guides here are so friendly and knowledgeable- You can see how passionate they are. This was a really fun tour- I love the mix of visiting the ruins of Muyil but also getting to float down a canal. It's a really great combo, very enjoyable and perfect for the hot days in Mexico. I highly recommend this tour- you get a little bit of history, culture and also a leisurely swim! They also provide a homemade lunch- very delicious!
AMAZING! This trip with Cesar exceeded our expectations! Will always remember the lazy river. 5 stars
