A fuir!

Such a remarkable and memorable experience that I will never forget. Hernan, our tour guide grew-up within the Mayan community and therefore was very knowledgable about their culture and the area of Sian Ka'an and Punta Allen. He was also always attentive to our needs and comfort. The excursion required a drive through Tulum, and then a 2 hr. drive through the jungle's unpaved roads. It's unpaved and quite bumpy but worth every second. Just be prepared to bounce around in your seat a bit. Upon arrival in the village, we boarded a boat and sought out marine life. We saw sea turtles, dolphins, including moms and their babies, as well as sharks and the coral reef. The local food was exceptional and we caught out at sea only earlier that morning. This tour is for anyone seeking more of an adventurous experience and wanting to learn and witness true local culture. Highly recommend!

First off, our guide, Herlan, was very knowledgable, charismatic and helpful. The reserve is extremly beautiful and the water is just wow. Sadly, we were a bit unlucky spotting animals, but that's nature. The sea was pretty rough and therefore the visibility in the water was not ideal. The main thing that you have to keep in mind, and why I'm not giving 5 stars is the following. The way to get there is really long and rough. You'll spend half half of the tour in the van. Keep that in mind.

This tour is a must do! Herlan was a spectacular guide! And his brother was a very safe driver! Incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about all the area has to offer. He’s spent his life exploring the Yucatán peninsula. There’s no better guide to answer your questions and create a very genuine experience. The trip was a delight from start to finish. Excellent communication and instruction. We saw tons of sea turtles, 2 manatees, and did some wonderful snorkeling. The day was relaxed, but full incredible sites and activities! The food was out of this world!! Better than any restaurant we’ve eaten in in Play del Carmen. Pay the extra for the ceviche — you won’t regret it! Thanks for a wonderful chance to explore. We will be back!!

My husband and I stumbled upon this tour, and could not be happier with the adventure. Our guides were amazing. We saw a lot of dolphins and sea turtles, and tons of fish during the snorkeling activity. The lunch at the end of the day was delicious! Cannot wait to go again!

Early pick up but on time. Quick breakfast but very simple. After lunch, great experience accross the lagoon after a long drive through the jungle. But the trip even not so confortable worth it. The guide and the boat driver were very welcoming and took care of us notably during the snorkling experience. We have been lucky to see some dolphins, tortoises and even a crocodile even if those were not easy to find. We would have appreciated to see more birds but Mexico is not Costa Rica. Safe come back at our hotel around 5 pm.

It was a nice trip. Very good breakfast and lunch. We saw dolphins, turtles and many different birds. Our driver Herman drove like Kimi Raikkonen, really well. And our guide Manuel was very professional, spoke at least 3 different languages. I was already wondering when this would start to speak Finnish. 😃👍Recommend a very beautiful place to see and experience

Great trip. Knowledgeable friendly bilingual guide who was very informative and funny. Provided plenty of water when required along with beers. The driver drove efficiently but safely. We had no concerns. The boat trip felt like it lasted longer than two hours. We were able to see sea turtles and dolphins in their natural habitat which was just amazing. We also stopped on the way back to see a alligator. The only two downsides were The buffet was limited on vegetarian choices and the mini bus did not have air con that worked properly which led to everyone being rather sleepy. An absolute must if you are visiting the area.

We wanted to avoid swimming with dolphins as we don’t believe it is ethical so this was perfect! We were picked up from our hotel at 7am and went to pick up some others along the way at other pick up points. Kind of annoying that two different parties that the driver went out of his way to pick up preferred to stay asleep and waste his time! We then went to the main check in point and paid our reef tax which is very cheap! Must be paid in USD. We then were given breakfast which was included in the price and was a buffet selection. Only thing I would say bring veggie is the options are a bit limited if you don’t eat meat. But again very good value for what we paid. We then got on another mini bus and travelled 1.5 hours to the reserve. This mini bus was cramped to say the least and considering the road conditions I fee like a better quality mini bus would be a great improvement as we did suffer a bit on the way. When we got there it was everything we could of wished for and more. Our guide spoke brilliant English and was very knowledgable! We took the boat out and found a sea turtle pretty quickly - amazing! A little while later we found a pod of dolphins - amazing experience to see in their natural habitat. We got to take photos and get a better view by moving around the boat too. The snorkelling was another highlight! All equipment is provided and their is a guide to keep your group together. We absolutely loved how much time we were given and how much we got to see. To finish the boat trip we travelled more towards the shallow part of the ocean (about knee deep) and were able to remove our life vests, have a paddle, take some amazing photos and have a beer in the ocean. Amazing! Once we travelled back we were given a buffet style meal - this was limited as were vegetarian- rice and veggies it was! There’s an amazing little coffee hut down the road and they make the best coffee and brownies I have ever tasted! Take a walk and try it out guys it worth it. Overall I would highly recommend this experience for any animal lovers wishing to see them in their natural habitat!
