You will be picked-up from your hotel, port or other location at your convenience and a driver will bring you to a nice home restaurant of chefs don Luciano and donna Caterina. The dinner will be served on a beautiful terrace with an amazing sea view. You will be offered traditional appetizers (antipasti) - Sicilian bruschettas, caponata (traditional Sicilian dish of eggplant, tomatoes, pepper, onion, capers), a plate of domestic meat and cheese delicacies, marinated anchovy or sardines, mussels soup, served with fresh bread and fine red and white wines.

For the first course you will taste pasta palermitana (traditional pasta dish with anchovy and pistachio), pasta with tuna caviar or pasta with mussels and clams. For the second dish donna Caterina will offer you fresh fish of the day (tuna, sward fish, baked sardines, merlani, baccal or other fresh fish depending on season). And finally for the dessert you will taste a traditional Sicilian dolce - cannoli, ice cream, granita, fruits, accompanied by famous Sicilian liquors like limoncello or amaro.

All the evening you will be enjoying a nice and friendly company of locals who will be happy to tell the stories about every day life and history of Sicily.

After the dinner, the driver will bring you back to your hotel, port or other location at your convenience.

    I love this tour the driver/translter picked me up and he was so nice and friendly! he actually bought me 3 sicilian lemons from his garden! grazie! The house is amazing and has an amazing view. The chefs could not speak english but you have the tranlater there with you to answer all the questions! It is all seafood which is a relief as I only eat seafood. I ended up have 6 amazing courses! At the end the chef demonstrated how to make cannoli! They are a lovely couple with wonderful dogs! I ended up admiring the 3 week old puppies afterwards before I left home! I would definitely recommend this tour for anyone who is new in taormina and want to see the real taormina, how people lives! come! you wont forget! xx

    Marco picked us up at our hotel in Taormina and whisked us away to the home of Luciano and Chef Caterina. We didn't dine on the terrace that evening because the weather was very cool so instead we dined indoors overlooking the sea. It really didn't matter where we were seated because the most delicious dinner was the main attraction of the evening. Each dish presented itself with a freshness and a homemade touch by Chef Caterina. The scrumptious meal continued over several hours with each plentiful course served by Luciano. The traditional Sicilian dolce that was served was Cannoli. Chef Caterina showed us the sifter she uses to make the creamiest of fillings and she also demonstrated how she made the shell. It is the best Cannoli I have ever eaten and I will probably never taste anything like that again. The evening and the meal is a memorable part of our visit to Sicily. Marcella
