On arrival, bypass the lines with your fast-track ticket and enjoy a 2-hour tour with a difference. Listen as your guide shares the story of the so-called great poisoning, the necklace affair and other tales of conspiracy, intrigue and romance, and gain insight into the noble classes who jostled for power throughout history.
Stroll through the castle to view the Royal Chapel from the entrance gate, and explore the Hall of Mirrors, Hercules Drawing Room, Salon of Abundance, Mars Room, Peace Room, Salon of the Nobles and the luxury apartments of the King and Queen. Discover the part of the castle that sits above a cemetery, and see where the ghost of Marie-Antoinette is said to walk at night.

  • Our tour guide David was amazing. His knowledge of Parisian history was incredible. He went above and beyond on his tour. David was patient and kind, spoke great English and taught us so much that we honestly didn’t know. The location itself was amazing. Highly recommend!

  • Great to skip the line, fabulous guide, not sure it is appropriately named. The trip was quick and easy, and the Chateau was wonderful to visit. A personal guide made it much more interesting and kept my children engaged. The gardens are a must see....many hidden treasures with interesting stories amidst the winding paths.

  • This was a very interesting and informative tour. The best experience was our guide Roberto, amazing story teller and very nice person.
We learned lots of hidden details about royal life in Versailles, as well as nuances of political and cultural events of that time.

  • This turned out to be the most amazing tour due to our guide, David Lambret! We met him at the metro station and took the RER out to Versialles. What I thought was going to be a four hour tour turned into 7 hours of great fun. David was extremely prepared, giving us information on more than just Versailles, but the history of France complete with maps and illustrations. Although we didn't get a lot of the murder and mystery, we got way more than that and would absolutely do this tour again.. as long as we had David as our guide. He gave us a fabulous tour of the palace, including getting access to a room with a scale model that no one else had access to. Then he gave us an extensive tour of the gardens, as well as taking us to the Grand Trianon and Petit Trianon. Perfect tour!

  • Excellent guide. Lots of helpful historical information. He really knew his stuff. Spent quite a bit of time with us. Really a nice guy.
Only down side was that the tour was advertised as a murder and mystery tour, and this was strictly a basic tour.

  • Our tour guide Melissa was a lovely young lady with a passion for French history! It was a pleasure listening to her rendition of the history and stories of Versailles. We thoroughly enjoyed our time in Versailles. There are tour guides and there are tour guides but Melissa was exceptional! Thankyou

  • Had a great time and would recommend to anyone.

  • The only issue with this tour was the transportation strike. Our tour guide was wonderfully intelligent and knowledgeable about the art and history. Lunch after the tour would have made this a better tour.
