Marvel at the Loire Valley's opulent chteaux and taste its famous locally-made wine during this full-day tour from Paris.
From Paris, you’ll head first to Chteau de Chambord. Disney fans will find this castle’s turrets familiar; it was the inspiration for the castle in ‘Beauty and the Beast’. Though originally conceived as a royal hunting lodge, it was built to a scale that must be seen to be believed. You’ll learn all about the castle’s captivating history from your guide, before getting your own chance to explore. Climb a staircase supposedly designed by Da Vinci; enjoy spectacular turret-framed rooftop views; glimpse wild deer around the grounds; and work up an appetite for the next stop.
Having worked up an appetite, we'll get back on the bus and on to our next stop - the quaint town of Blois, where you’ll get some free time to enjoy lunch in one of the restaurants located around the beautiful and vibrant Square Louis XII.
Last but not least is a visit to the elegant Chteau de Chenonceau for wine tasting. The chapel, bedrooms and magnificent vaulted kitchens are still furnished and decorated from times gone by, showing off the castle’s many sweeping stone carvings. Don’t miss the impressive main hall, which spans the river Cher, or the gardens cultivated by Diane de Poitiers and Catherine de Medici – two of the famous owners that earned Chenonceau the nickname ‘the Ladies’ Chteau’. After a guided tour, you’ll have a choice: continue exploring, or indulge in a second wine tasting in the castle’s vaulted wine cellar.Three uniquely beautiful castles, good food and wine, all amid the scenery of the Loire Valley: this tour is a feast for the senses.

This was a very nice trip but I wouldn’t call it a wine tasting, which is what me and my friends were mostly wanting. You only stop as one place that has wine and that was a very small and short part. I would rename this a castle and chateau tour. The guide was very informative about the history of each castle / chateau we visited and they were beautiful.

Chateau de la Barre is the home of the Vanssay family since 1404. It went through restoration and it is a beautiful Chateau . A place to relax after sight seeing and wine tasting. It has 6 en Suites and double rooms decorated beautifully. There is a beautiful terrace and swimming pool. Marni Vanssay the Countess greeted us with a warm welcome and she was delightful. She gave us a beautiful tour, then showed us to our suite. We then came down to the drawing room and had cocktails and tea. She gave us the history of the area, the Château and her family. She also is an expert in travel to France. She arranged our flights and we had VIP greeters, who helped us through customs and with our luggage. She arranged for private transfers to our 5 star accommodation at the Bristol, in Paris. She has the best tour guides. We went to the Louvre and Versailles. She arranged private tours to both places. We had special access to areas that the general public can not enter. Our guide Laurent was extremely knowledgeable, but he was also extremely engaging and has a wonderful sense of humor. There were no issues with language barriers. Marnie set up our lunch in between these long days. We spent four days in Paris. It was a trip of a life-time all arranged by Marni Vanssay, Countess. She is a gem and if you are planning a trip to France she is the only person I would recommend. I’m a a very discerning traveler and it was a 5 star adventure.

Overall the tour was organized, but I felt like the description online made it seem like it was going to be more of a 'wine tour' - this is not really a wine tour at all. Rather, it's touring 2 big castles (which I know it says in the description), but I just felt like the title was a little misleading. The time spent in Blois was a little too long. Overall, it was a fun tour and the tour guides were incredible - they were kind and organized. But it just wasn't quite the tour for me. It was nice that pick up and drop off was in Paris - this area is really hard to get to if you just try to relay on trains.

It was a great opportunity to visit several Châteaux in one day while staying in Paris. The bus, the driver, and the guys were very good.
-
The hosts were great with the history during the bus ride. The wine tasting and Chateux were beautiful.

Our guide Mr. Price had a lot of positive energy and made a good day a better one. At one point I asked him if he knew where I could get a pain killer and since there wasn't any available he actually asked the whole bus if they had one and somebody did. That made my day a little easier. The castles were excellent and the wine tasting was more educational than I thought it would be. The only part that wasn't perfect was the stop in Blois. I found it difficult to get oriented, and eat and get back in the time we had and couldn't really enjoy the town, so if you go I recommend really trying to study that place and have an idea of where you want to go and how long it will take ahead of time.

We loved getting to see the Chateus! Saeed and Ifi, our tour guides, were incredibly informative! Saeed’s helpfulness at the end of the tour was above and beyond - he stopped to check in with everyone on the bus on the way home to see if they had any questions or wanted some specific recommendations. This helped us find some more local spots in Paris for the remainder of our trip!

I would have liked to have had more time in Bois and i did feel rushed every where we went, but it was worth seeing the castles.
