Know More about this tour

After leaving Paris in a comfortable air-conditioned coach, your day trip of the wine and castles of the Loire Valley starts at Château de Chambord. This beautiful château was built in 1519 by King Francis I, who used it as a hunting lodge. Admire its French Renaissance architecture, luxurious furniture, ornamental ceiling vaults and astounding staircases, and keep an eye out for frolicking deer and wild boar as you stroll along the castle’s lush grounds.

Next, you’ll stop to enjoy a delicious lunch at the Nitray Vineyards at Château de Nitray. This is not your average box lunch -- you'll enjoy a home-cooked lunch of fresh, local French ingredients and sample some of the region’s best wines, including a crisp Sauvignon Blanc and a full-bodied Cabernet Franc. Your guide will take you through the wine-tasting, pointing out the different flavors. You will end your visit with a tour of the vineyard.

Your final stop is Château de Chenonceau, an elegant 16th-century castle that is sure to steal your heart at first sight with its smooth white stone and intricately painted wooden door. Entry lines can be quite long here, especially in the peak summer season, but don’t worry! This tour includes skip-the-line access, so you don’t have to wait in the long queue. The interior of the castle is well-maintained with original stone carvings, immense tapestries and an intimate chapel. Almost equal in beauty are the castle grounds and many gardens, planted by the famous ladies who owned the Ladies’ Château and gave it its name.

  • If you are planning a trip to Paris, don't miss this tour it was fabulous.

  • We really loved this trip!!! The guide was waiting for us just where we were told. We had a nice ride on an air-conditioned bus and the Chateaux de Chambord and Chenonceau were above our expectations. Both guides knew a lot of history of the Chateaux and were very nice guys. The wine tasting and meal were also very delicious. This tour is highly recomended if you wish to visit the Loire area in one day.

  • This was a great trip. As my tour guide said, what's better than spending the day drinking wine and looking at Disney castles? Our tour guides were entertaining and informative. The sites were beautiful and I enjoyed tasting different local wines. I feel the trip was a little overpriced, but as our only real excursion on our trip I didn't mind splurging on this one.

  • The visits to the palaces were a bit too short. Wanted a little more history-based narrative of each castle. Guide on our bus was not as knowledgeable as the guide on the other bus of the same company. With that said, experiencing the castles, with a nice lunch and some French wine was a good day, something for everyone in our group.

  • This was an amazing experience in the long drive to and from Loire Valley was definitely worth it. Our tour guide was knowledgeable and very accommodating. She was able to provide us history regarding each region and point out interesting landmarks. Our host at the Chenonceau wine tasting site was quite a character and very amusing! He was absolutely entertaining as he told us about wine tasting and the various regions/differences in these wine producing regions.

  • Our two guides were very knowledgeable and fun. One was French and the other American. They both shared their stories not only about each chateaux but also about French life and customs. The trip was long and left early. I would have appreciated a snack and some water. Lunch wasn't until after 1:00 partly due to an accident on the road. I also would have liked more time at each chateau. The lunch was excellent as was the wine tasting.

  • Highly Recommended! This was the only tour we booked while in Paris and it was worth every penny! I can't say enough about how knowledgeable and professional the tour guides were throughout the trip. Ferret and Laura, thank you again for making our experience one to remember.

  • The guides were very knowledgeable about history and the area and were very nice -- unfortunately I have forgotten their names --but the sound system in the bus was poor and we were unable to understand a large portion of what was said.
The itinerary is perhaps unrealistic, at least for summer - we had very little time to tour the inside of Chenoceau and it was extremely crowded and difficult to navigate. Note: It was a holiday Bastille Day weekend. The guide spent quite a bit of time talking to us outside the castle, then was surprised to see a very long line to enter ---- he also was unaware of the Skip the Line privilege but thankfully believed me and got us in fairly soon with the special group entry. Apparently this is rarely an issue and he hadn't had to use it before?.
The wine tasting lunch was excellent though we don't drink --but I'm not sure if it is out of the way geographically and contributed to the short amount of time remaining to see the second castle? I'm glad we didn't attempt to see 3 castles as in many other tours. Perhaps avoid taking a weekend tour - especially in the summer and near holidays - and all would work out well.
The complaint about the sound system was in previous reviews -- this should be fixed by now - we had two other bus rides with other companies on our trip with excellent sound.

  • This was the highlight of Paris! 3 beautiful castles, 2 wine tastings, an incredible home cooked lunch, and the history of France told like a novel. Our tour guide, Laura, was absolutely amazing! There is so much history in Paris/ the Loire Valley and she is not only knowledgeable but tells the story in such a captivating way. You get best of both worlds - a guided tour and free time to explore each castle. The only part I was concerned about prior was the long bus ride/early morning departure, but rest assured, it was very comfortable - air conditioned, coach bus and Laura let us sleep for some of the way there and back - necessary after touring and drinking the incredible wine! I could not recommend this trip more! Enjoy!!

  • This tour was a great way to see some of amazing castles the Loire valley! Our tour guides Zach and Erwon were both very knowledgeable and entertaining. They had great stories to tell as we were learning the history of the area, and at the end of the tour they made sure all of our questions were answered not just about the tour but also in general about our stay in Paris. The stop for lunch at a local winery was delicious, and the owners were very friendly as well. I would highly recommend this trip to anyone looking to get out of Paris for the day!
