DO NOT USE THIS TOUR COMPANY. It was supposed to be a small group tour it was not, it was a large group, what was worse the tour guide did not show up. A company rep showed up and said he will get us in the coliseum and took us down as a group and left us on our own. He then said to meet us afterword to go to the next destination. He should have just given us the tix and let us move on. They said we had to stay in a group which is impossible without a tour guide. Not to mention we had no one to explain the history, we could not go to certain areas (for tours only), and after the first event basically lost us. We never went to the other two locations. they offered us a partial credit. They should give us a full refund and if they were legit they would have offered another day to come back and make it up. We have since left Rome, which is an incredible city with so many things to see, just not with this company. This company is a scam!

Not impressed with the tour operating company. I have booked with Viator on many occasions and this company lacked promptness and signs. We arrived at the meeting point where at least 40 other tour groups where meeting at the same time. We arrived 15 minutes earlier than asked to be there and still our operator was not there until after start time. When they arrived (3 people) they had no sign and there were members of our group looking everywhere for them. Another tour operator even commented that "Rome Your Way" operators only arrive at the last minute and they tried to guide us to where the operators should be. Once we where divided into 2 separate groups with different guides, we proceeded. THE ONLY ADVANTAGE to this tour is to get the tour company to purchase your entrance ticket and to escort you through the security area. Once inside the guide is slow in explaining or showing you artifacts and the actual Colosseum. We lasted for about 45 mintunes with the guide and left the group to proceed on our own. To be fair the guide was trying to make sure we took enough water breaks and stayed in the shade when possible. Record high temps of 105 that day.

Absolutely terrible experience. Our tour guide did not show up. We did not get the opportunity to cancel and just rebook. A rep said sorry for the inconvenience and said after you enter the colosseum you will be on your own and I can’t get you headsets. He left and someone else returned. That rep didn’t speak English. She walked us up to the first entry point then disappeared. When we arrived to ticket entry the guard said sorry we all cannot get in without your tour guide who had our tickets. They rushed us out and my daughter fell to the ground and bruised her knee. She was in pain and traumatized. I am still waiting for a full refund and I am getting the run around. Now my children are completely disengaged with touring. I hope they do the right thing.

I saw some other reviews about last minute cancellations, and that didn’t exactly happen to us. Someone from the organization did show up and escort our group through the group entrances at the coliseum and forum. However, he wasn’t a tour guide, so everything was self-guided. They did refund half of our money, and we got to see the sites, so it was fine. We had originally planned to visit that way anyway and waited too long to get tickets, so we basically just ended up with the tickets at a slight markup. Would have been more disappointing if we had really wanted the guide.

Our guide did not turn up and we only discovered at this point that the pantheon was only to see the outside, when the picture of this tour showed the inside .very disappointing to say the least

Our 3.5hrs walking tour was wonderful as the guide, Karolina, was very, very knowledgeable. Karolina not was informative, she answered every question in a respectful way. The one drawback was that we were asked to adhere to a dress code ie. cover knees & shoulders, which was not needed as many in our group wore shorts. The temperature was +36C that day so it would made it more comfortable for us to wear shorts.

Tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and able to convey a lot of information to our group. We had about 15 people on our tour, which was a nice size. Too many more, and it would have been difficult to navigate around the crowds in July.

Booked this tour for 11 of us. 2 days before our reservation, they cancelled on us. As a result, we were unable to see the Pantheon since all other tours were sold out.

My family and I had a great time. Francesco (our guide) was informative and did a great job herding all the cats (tour group) through the various points of interest over the long tour. Francesco informed the group about the rich history of Rome and the Colosseum. Great communication prior to the tour with the company. Would highly recommend.

We booked for the morning tour, arrived 30 minutes early to be told the tour was cancelled & we should return at 13.45. Combining 2 tours meant it wasn’t a ‘small group’ & the afternoon heat was almost unbearable. The guide was OK but everyone was tired & the majority voted to end the tour at The Forum therefore not visiting the Pantheon or Piazza Navona. This was not the excursion we hoped for, very expensive for what we got & certainly put us off using Viator again.
