Stop At: Catacombe di Santa Domitilla, Rome, Lazio
Visit the historic Catacombe di Santa Domitilla.

Great, great tour! The dolomites were great to see, and the Capuchin crypts were astonishing. Left me SPEECHLESS. 100% recommend. It will take your breath away. Our tour guide did a great job explaining and was very kind and knowledgeable.

It was somewhat disappointing as you are not allowed to take pictures. The crypts and the catacombs are controlled by the Catholic Church and they didn’t allow photos. The crypts were pretty cool, as there were plenty of skulls and bones, even mummies in their monk robes, but the catacombs are essentially empty, no bones or skulls. I was expecting an experience like we had with Viatour in The Paris Catacombs, which was outstanding! Tons of skulls and bones there, but not so much in Rome.

It was amazing to see both the crypt and the catacombs with Allen, a fantastic tour guide, who has a wealth of information.

Nonrefundable ticket window too big. Other travel companies are more flexible. Other tour agencies are more flexible.

First of all a massive thank you to Heather and Pete. Our tour didn't start very well as minutes before we had just been robbed on the metro. No matter how safe you think your belongings are these robbing C U Next Tuesdays will find a way) anyway both Heather and Pete were really nice to my wife who was very shaken up and allowed us time to sort ourselves out before the tour started. Now... If you were to Google the locations you could probably visit each one yourself and save a few quid , however you wouldn't get the full experience and all of the knowledge and Info from Pete and Heather. You could probably walk around on your own in less than 10 minutes at each location so I'd highly recommend booking the guides. Top tip also, if you aren't a fan of dead bodies , skeletons and enclosed spaces I wouldn't recommend it. Overall the tour was amazing, learnt so much and was a welcome distraction from the metro incident And finally, you can't take pictures whilst you are in most places but if that's your thing taking photos of dead bodies maybe a course in forensics would be best to spend your money on or apply for a job at the morgue Thanks again to Heather and Pete, was an amazing day Wayne and Jodine

Capuchin catacombs were bizarre but fascinating. The Church was interesting as were the first Catacombs.

Wow! Who knew that with such rich history in Rome, comes a rich past related to death. We met our guide, Vanessa, before getting on the bus, and she was without a voice. Poor thing. That certainly didn't stop her...she had all the best one line jokes about it. We had no trouble hearing her as we walked through the Crypt. Fascinating. Then when we boarded the bus for the Roman Catacombs, she had help, 2 other groups were on board. The history and information provided on the bus was fascinating. Once at the Roman Catacombs, Vanessa provided a great review. Her broad knowledge and passion was obvious. She brought light humor to what could be a very dark subject. The last stop was most unexpected and provided a great end to our tour.

This was a fascinating experience. Learning about the extent of the catacombs and how they were constructed was amazing. I did find that 2 levels down was enough for me due to very mild claustrophobia and the guide took me out when requested but my friend stayed the course and enjoyed the experience. We had been warned about the closeness involved so I was quite happy just to wait in the beautiful chapel until the others returned. The bones crypt was beautifully done and the "lasagne" church we visited was beautiful.

The whole trip was fascinating, well organised with very knowledgeable and friendly tour guides. Everything was organised very well but the only problem was the Rome traffic which meant things were a little rushed at the end. I would definitely recommend but not suitable for younger children or people who may be claustrophobic
