Begin this nine-hour Vatican tour with either pick-up at your hotel or at a designated meeting place. The experience begins with a Papal blessing in St. peter's square, with the assistance of the tour guide to ensure a premium spot to view the event. After the blessing, given in many languages, the tour guide will lead the way to a nearby restaurant for lunch (meal is included).
After lunch, the tour continues in the Vatican museums. The small group will visit the magnificent Sistine Chapel and admire Michelangelo's masterpiece of a ceiling. The group then moves on to the opulent St. Peter's Basilica, the jewel of the Vatican. The tour ends at approximately 5pm, back in St. peter's square. It is not older friendly, the lunch was 15 min walk outside the Vatican. It was not worth it for the amount of money. It was my mother and I.

Everything in the Vatican is amazing, a different world! We had a great time meeting new people and our tour guide was excellent. We highly recommend this tour!
-
Two different tour guides, one for Papal audience then change over after lunch to another guide for museum visits. Both very friendly with lots of useful information. Only negative of tour is that you have over an hour spare from having lunch to handover to 2nd guide at 2pm for museum tours. We actually went back to our hotel after lunch before afternoon tour.

The experience and tour were great however, there was a lot of waiting around the whole day. This could have easily been a half day tour, not a full day. We had selected to be picked up at our hotel in the morning and they showed up an hour late from the time we were confirmed. The waiting time from the papal address to the museum tour was way too long. I would recommend the experiences on this tour but not necessarily getting this particular package since we felt like we wasted a good part of the day waiting of people of the tour agency.

Amazing tour and experience. I would suggest the tour without the lunch instead. It took a long time from the papal mass to the guided tour at 2pm. I would suggest starting the guided tour at noon because it allows you time to eat something at the Vatican and you don't have to wait until 2pm!
