Overcrowded, kids shouting and adults that were unable to appreciate the displays without a phone in front of them. Penguins in a prison! So sad and unacceptable !!

Wasn't sure what to expect as went on a Saturday in August (we did get anytime tickets and i would recommend that), seen negative reviews and expected it to be horribly busy as we went mid afternoon. Honestly, for London, I really didn't find it that busy, queued 10 minutes most to get in and it had the most amazing displays. We have been to smaller aquariums but this is the best we have been to, we spent two hours there and absolutely loved it! Only thing I would say is the VR wasn't worth it. My husband said sea life is the best thing we have ever done in London and child of 12 said they didn't expect it to be that good.

Lots of great things to see. We have been a few times and Recommend for kids 5+ It is always quite busy (I think they cram a lot of people into each time slot!) Toilets were out of order half way round, but a lovely guy escorted us to other ones, and back.

Overall we enjoyed the sea life centre. We decided to book to go in for the last hour, 6-7pm thinking it would be quieter but it definitely wasn’t quiet! Still very busy. Too warm inside as it’s all sort of underground. Lots to look at and all ok but the penguins really made us sad. Can’t really understand having penguins in very a basic enclosure, behind glass, plastic flooring that’s suppose to look like ice, quite small and with no natural daylight. The whole thing just put a dampener on the place. I’ve read other reviews since going and it seems everyone is saying the same. Surely a wild animal such as a penguin needs some daylight?! I think the most positive thing to do with the penguins is send them somewhere more natural than in an underground enclosure, the reviews would surely improve if they weren’t there.

It's like a TARDIS inside! I expected it to be not as good as the Brighton one due to its location which I had thought would mean it was quite small but I was actually pleasantly surprised. I certainly didn't expect to see penguins! We would definitely go again and in many ways felt it was actually better than Brighton. The only downside was it was very busy but so is Brighton during the school holidays and actually once you got through the initial queue most of it wasn't too crowded at all.

Whilst some areas were a wonder to see……. Jelly fish/ clown fish. There are too many depressing “displays”. The penguin were the worse, terrible unnatural, dirty enclosures. (Several days worth of poop on plastic rocks). Penguins just lying there not moving…… should not be in these unnatural enclosures. Large turtles & sharks should not have to circle round and round and round day after day, so unnatural & for their species very small tanks relative to them. Other large fish in such small tanks, shame on you! It was very crowded, don’t bother wasting money in VR experience as nothing like “images” on website. Merlin entertainments pull your socks up…..these creatures should not be used as a theme park. Could be done right!

I spent about 90 to 120 minutes at the aquarium. It has some nice fish and other aquatic life but nothing too amazing. I think it’s a wonderful experience for young kids but for adults the place can often be too small.

We basically wanted to see this famous place. Our grand daughter (9) loved the Penguins, the sharks, and the Turtles. Our grandson (6) liked the Penguins and the animal eggs. On return they said they wanted to see Dolphins ( did we miss them?) and touch the Dolphins. What a pity we could not buy any souvenirs ( the kids had made their selection) as we were not carrying our credit card.

I cannot express enough, this is not worth the price. I know it is London, I know it looks interesting. But for FOURTY POUNDS, a few sharks, a tiny space for a couple penguins, and extra costs dotted around is not and will never be worth it.

Too many people … Penguin exhibit is a disgrace. Interesting mix of freshwater, coral & reef life. One of our party in a wheelchair. Got to see stuff once the instagrammers moved on. Again … too many people !!
