Know More about this tour

Avoid long lines at the Uffizi Gallery as your guide delivers commentary on your 3-hour tour through the gallery's main rooms. You'll also enjoy an external tour of the Vasari Corridor. Hidden between city houses and even passing through a church, the Vasari Corridor has evolved as one of the most astounding architectural masterpieces of the Renaissance.

See artists like Giotto, Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci, Raffaello, Botticelli, and more as you follow your guide through the Uffizi Gallery's main rooms. Your guide will reveal the stories and hidden secrets behind the masterpieces along the way.

After your walking tour inside of the Uffizi Gallery, head to the Vasari Corridor for an external tour(approx. 20 minutes) of the once-secret passageway, used by Cosimo and his wife, Eleonora, to travel from one side of Florence to the other. Built above the Ponte Vecchio, the corridor dates back to 1564 and stretches almost a mile between Palazzo Pitti, over the Arno to Palazzo della Signoria. It was Cosimo I who first summoned the architect Giorgio Vasari to build such a path for the royal family.

Your tour will conclude after three hours outside of the Boboli Gardens.

  • I can say enough about our guide Francesca. She was amazingly knowledgeable, personable and very funny.
I have visited the Uffizi many times before. She managed to tell me additional facts that I did not know.
    It was so wonderful!

  • An excellent way to see the wonderful gallery plus the relatively unknown gem extension of the Uffizi over the bridge to the other side.

  • Excellent guide and group size. Really added to understanding all that we saw

  • Tour was informative, our guide while extremely knowledgeable was somewhat monotone and not nearly as entertaining as some of our other guides.

  • This was our first Tour in Florence and it created a mindset of what it was like to live there during the Renaissance. We had a glimpse of the local politics and lifestyle as well as an introduction to the fabulous Renaissance artwork.

  • This is one of the best tours I have ever taken. A great history of painting by a very knowledgeable guide with the material right in front of you. Must do, you owe it to yourself!

  • An excellent experience. Our tour guide gave us a brilliant chronological tour of the gallery and I, as a one-man cultural vacuum, actually learnt some art history. I would have given it five stars but this is not the cheapest way to see the Uffizi. Having said that, skipping those huge queues was essential as I would never have have made it inside if I had to join the very long queue in the heat!

  • Our guide was very personable,, knowledgeable, and informative. Our group was relatively small-8 or fewer. After we left the meeting spot near the Apple store, we walked 3-4 blocks to the Uffizi. One recommendation to some, take the elevator up to the 4th floor. Our guide offered it to us, but we declined. There are four long flights to climb. The tour was 3 hours long, on a very, very hot day, but the guide made it interesting.

  • This tour included the Vasari corridor and was excellent on the selected art in the uffizzi.
