Know More about this tour

Avoid long lines at the Uffizi Gallery as your guide delivers commentary on your 3-hour tour through the gallery's main rooms. You'll also enjoy an external tour of the Vasari Corridor. Hidden between city houses and even passing through a church, the Vasari Corridor has evolved as one of the most astounding architectural masterpieces of the Renaissance.

See artists like Giotto, Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci, Raffaello, Botticelli, and more as you follow your guide through the Uffizi Gallery's main rooms. Your guide will reveal the stories and hidden secrets behind the masterpieces along the way.

After your walking tour inside of the Uffizi Gallery, head to the Vasari Corridor for an external tour (approx. 20 minutes) of the once-secret passageway, used by Cosimo and his wife, Eleonora, to travel from one side of Florence to the other. Built above the Ponte Vecchio, the corridor dates back to 1564 and stretches almost a mile between Palazzo Pitti, over the Arno to Palazzo della Signoria. It was Cosimo I who first summoned the architect Giorgio Vasari to build such a path for the royal family.

Your tour will conclude after three hours outside of the Boboli Gardens.

  • This was our first Tour in Florence and it created a mindset of what it was like to live there during the Renaissance. We had a glimpse of the local politics and lifestyle as well as an introduction to the fabulous Renaissance artwork.

  • This is one of the best tours I have ever taken. A great history of painting by a very knowledgeable guide with the material right in front of you. Must do, you owe it to yourself!

  • An excellent experience. Our tour guide gave us a brilliant chronological tour of the gallery and I, as a one-man cultural vacuum, actually learnt some art history. I would have given it five stars but this is not the cheapest way to see the Uffizi. Having said that, skipping those huge queues was essential as I would never have have made it inside if I had to join the very long queue in the heat!

  • Our guide was very personable,, knowledgeable, and informative. Our group was relatively small-8 or fewer. After we left the meeting spot near the Apple store, we walked 3-4 blocks to the Uffizi. One recommendation to some, take the elevator up to the 4th floor. Our guide offered it to us, but we declined. There are four long flights to climb. The tour was 3 hours long, on a very, very hot day, but the guide made it interesting.

  • This tour included the Vasari corridor and was excellent on the selected art in the uffizzi.

  • Great tour!!

  • What a great our in the midst of bustling Florence. The privacy and exclusivity of the tour was great and our guide was once again terrific. A great day trip from Rome via train and so glad we had a chance to see David in all his glory.

  • What a great tour with the lovely Elonora C. She was really informative and her passion for the subject came through - she has enabled me to look at the art of Florence with a bit more understanding. Would thoroughly recommend this tour with this guide.

  • One of my favourite tours, although I was very disappointed that the Medici corridor had been closed to visitors. I was under the impression that this was included in the tour for Viator customers.
    Nonetheless, the tour was incredible.
Although it could only touch on a fraction of the collection, SO MUCH was covered.
Our guide knew her history - of the city and the art - and took us places we didn't expect.
    Fabulous tour! Highly recommend it!
One thing: Wear comfortable shoes. :
