  • This tour was incredible! We had a bit of confusion with the meeting location in the morning meeting point is at a bookstore, but the bookstore is a corner location so we were dropped off by our taxi at the store and din't realize our actual meeting location was just around the corner. We figured it out and met our wonderful guide Nadia to find we were the only participants of this tour, so we were rated to a very personalized experience. Nadia seems to have a wealth of knowledge about the history and significance of the art and sculpture we saw everywhere. We waited only about two to three minutes for her to purchase tickets, then were ushered right past all the larger tour groups, so we did indeed skip the line. This made for a much better experience overall, and allowed us to focus on what we wanted to see. Once in the museum, Nadia found a quiet corner to sit down with us and explain the art we would see in the Sistine Chapel, using an iPad to show examples and explain the significance of the art. since there is no talking allowed inside the Sistine Chapel itself, it was nice to be given advance information so we would grasp the significance of what we were seeing. Fascinating stories behind all this art. We finished with the chance to see the changing of the Swiss guard near the entrance to St Peter's Basilica.

  • The tour guide was superb making the tour unforgettable.

  • The tour was amazing. Our guide was fabulous. You can't go to the Vatican without a guide. There is just too much history details you won't know. Highly recommend.

  • Try to go as early as possible. We had an 8:30 tour and was an hour later getting through door by that time you could barely move through the Vatican. Guide was knowledgeable but talked excessively slowing down tour

  • Skip the Line is absolutely worth every cent. When we arrived there was a 4 hour wait for general admission.

  • What an incredible tour we had - and our guide was outstanding! There is so much to see and so much history was covered in our tour. This was our first visit to the Vatican and we were very happy that we chose this tour!

  • Wonderful your with only 7 of us. Well worth the money to have things pointed out and explained as well as passing the huge line ups.

  • Once we found the meeting place it was a god tour.

  • This tour was Ok but the Vatican was very busy and it felt like we were cattle being herded through the Vatican. Not a tour I would repeat.

  • Maria Theresa was a great guide, interesting and sometimes amusing facts put over well. Seeing the quees even in October we were so glad we took this tour. The Roman forum and Palatine hill would just have been ruins without the guides input. Very interesting to see the underground section of the coliseum and the recreated mechanism moving the animals and prisoners to the arena floor.
It's a lot of walking, much on uneven ground, and as seniors we really felt tired the following day. The tour was our only organised activity that day along with dinner and we were glad of that.
    Highly Recommended
