Meet your guide at a very convenient meeting point, near the entrance. After a short introduction and the soundcheck (headsets are used for groups larger than 5 people), skip the queues and enter the Vatican the smallest country in the world.
First venue is The Vatican Museums: a vast collection of tens of thousands of objects, and countless miles of corridors. Your guide will take you to the most important and world-famous works of art and provide you with invaluable feedback and commentary. The absolute highlight of the museums is The Raphael's Rooms.
From the Vatican Museums, continue to the Sistine Chapel, decorated by Michelangelo. Your guide will give you an insight into the life and work of this incredibly talented master and reveal some secrets behind the artworks. Once inside you will have few minutes of free time, a moment to admire the breathtaking frescoes and soak it in.
After the visit of the Chapel we take a special door and skip the line to Saint Peter's Basilica. Once again your guide will give a detailed description of this awe-inspiring site, explain its religious, artistic and historic significance, and take you to the highlights like: Michelangelo's Pieta, the chapel of St. John Paul II and Bernini's Baldacchino (The Baldachin)
The tour ends at St. Peter's Basilica. Your guide will collect the headsets and makes sure that all your questions are answered. After the tour you are welcome to stay inside the Basilica, and maybe explore even further at your own pace.
