Fantastic tour and guide. Seeing the Versailles palace and gardens in September was well worth the trip. The train ride from the meet up location was ~20 minutes. My wife and I went to the gardens on a “music Tuesday” where 17th century music played throughout the gardens. The tour guide—Rory—was also polite, knowledgeable, and helpful as we walked through the gardens (even adding bathroom breaks as needed). Once Rory left, we quickly breezed through the entry line and enjoyed walking through the palace at our own pace. Bottom line: excellent trip well-worth the price of admission.

Our guide OJ (Olajean) was funny, informative, and gave us excellent pointers of how we could maximize our time at Versailles. We did a walking tour with OJ through the gardens before visiting the chateau, but it was OJ's recommendations that we did after that we enjoyed the most. After walking through the chateau, we biked around the grand canal, visited the Petit and Grand Trianons, and walked through Marie Antoinette's hamlet. Biking around the grand canal was my single favorite thing we did during our two week trip around Europe.

Nick was an outstanding tour guide! He offered a lot of information as well as humor. He kept my daughters engaged.

Absolutely wonderful day out biking around to a Versailles market for picnic supplies, biking around the Versailles park and canals, exploring the chateau, walking through Marie Antoinette's hamlet, and getting terrific historical insights from our guide Matt. He did a great job and the tour was just spectacular.

The garden tour was the perfect way to start our visit to Versailles! Richard had many great stories to tell and gave us all the info we needed to have a great rest of the day!

We had a tour of the gardens then we’re on our own in the palace. Our tour guide was amazing, super knowledgeable on the history and even gave us recommendations on where to get lunch after. The gardens were absolutely stunning. The palace was crowded in spots and we all agreed that the gardens were the best part! Our tour guide Chris was fantastic!

This was a fantastic tour by The Tour Guy and definitely one we would recommend if you really want a great overview of Versailles. The information on meeting up with the tour was great (outside a metro stop in western Paris), and the tour guide was very organized with train tickets for everyone, which we used to get on the train and ride about 25 minutes out to Versailles. Once at the train stop, we walked about 20 minutes to the actual Palace of Versailles, where our tour guide got all of our entrance tickets and a headset, and then led us into the palace. Once inside, our tour guide, Anastasia, showed everyone how to use the headset, which was basically a little unit with headphones that allowed you to hear her commentary crystal clear when we were in crowded areas of the Palace where it would have been difficult otherwise. We then went on about a 2-hour tour of the main parts of the Palace. Anastasia was an outstanding tour guide. Very personable and engaging, with lots of detailed knowledge about both the history of King Louis XIV and the history of the Palace, as well as the various rooms and art. After the tour, we were left to explore the expansive gardens on our own, which we enjoyed because we could take our time at the many fountains, have some lunch, and just really enjoy the beautiful surroundings. The train ticket provided by the tour was a round-trip ticket, so when we were done at Versailles, we just walked back to the train station, hopped on, and went right back into the heart of Paris. We were very impressed with the organization and professionalism of this tour and would highly recommend it.

Great tour!!! Nick was so informative and he even offered to take pictures of us all at any given time. We spent a lot of time in the gardens which we preferred. Inside the palace we were able to stay after the tour for more. It was a long hot morning so we left for foo. I suggest sunscreen, breakfast, and bringing a water with you! The train wasn’t bad at all. The fountain show throughout was a huge plus!!

Our guide, OJ, was funny and informative and did a great job ensuring that we got the most out of our time at Versailles. While others waited on a long line in the hot sun, we had plenty of time in both the gardens and the Chateau. We never wasted a minute. Fat Tire tours is the way to go!

Nick was a GREAT tour guide. He really brought the history alive. I would highly recommend. After the garden tour, you can spend as much time as you want going through the palace.
