  • The palace is huge and it was great to have someone tell us the highlights and history of the most important aspects of the palace. Our tour guide was great and new the history very well.

  • Tour operator was wonderful, they were right on time, loved how we all had earphones that hung around our neck. The only problem is we went to see the fountains and tour was at 3:15 and still not done, so had to leave the tour to get outside to rent the golf carts

  • Dreadful organisation. We arrived on time - the tour started late on a cold day. We could not get entry to the Palace as a result of a booking error by head office. This was eventually corrected and we gained entry at 11.30 instead of the planned 9.30.By this time the palace was crowded and difficult to enjoy. We abandoned our tour half way through
Do not use this tour group. This was wait in a longer line, not skip the line.

  • Our guide was good and very informative. Of course with a group of 25 and headsets that don't always have the best sound quality depending on the conditions wind, other ambient noise, the crowds, it isn't ideal. The crowds can be overwhelming and there is no air conditioning so it can be very hot and claustrophobic. However the guide was able to describe what we were seeing much better than a guide book and give some good stories and answer questions. The least impressive was the garden portion of the tour, which was pretty abbreviated and we didn't really get much direction here other than to be given a map and set off on our own. But with this size of gardens, that's probably the only way to do it. and by this time in the tour, after walking for more than two hours, it would have been tough for some to keep on going. Of course you are free to look around the gardens on your own. Based on some others of note, like those at St Petersburg summer palace, they are nice but not extraordinary. The water fountain show as well is really pretty lame. I would have liked a little more about Marie Antoinette, but this was more about the King Louis IV, V, and VI. To get more about Marie and see some of the private chambers, you need to take other private tours that focus on this.

  • Great tour. Violet was fantastic and never boring! A great way to do Versailles. We didn't catch the bus so we were able to stay longer in the gardens. However, if you did catch the bus you had the option to stay on and get the train back to Paris. I would recommend this to anyone

  • Not worth it at all. Very disappointing guide.
The palace itself was overcrowded we just wanted to get out of there.
The best part of Versailles were by far the gardens especially Marie-Antoinette's estate which thankfully we had the opportunity to explore for ourselves. The information received from our guide was insufficient and some of it inaccurate. Definitely go to see the gardens but skip this guided tour.

  • Very well organised and we really did skip the queue. Our guide was well informed and the headphones were excellent. It meant we didn't have to stay close to the quide in order to hear anything. As we were staying in Versailles or meant could use our ticket for the garden throughout the day. Money well spent and would use them again.

  • Our tour guide was excellent and very entertaining. We were so glad to did the skip the line this is so worth it!

  • Guides were there where we were instructed to meet them. Going right in and not waiting was invaluable! Our guide informed about palace history and art. Great tour! Wished there was more organized groups to flow from room to room. Very constricted walking and standing areas, traffic moving in all directions instead of flowing in one direction from one room to the next.

  • Our trip was very informative. Caroline our guide was excellent. She explained the process of accessing the time slot allocated to our tour and gave us interesting information at every room in the palace. We were able to ask questions and at each stage. At the end of the tour in the garden Caroline gave us a map and explained places we should see in the garden. We looked at a lot of the grottos as Caroline had explained, then had a lovely lunch amoungst the trees. A lovely experience
