Know More about this tour

Meet your guide in St. Marks Square, and head to the Doges Palace, a building that represented the seat of Venetian political power for centuries. With your skip-the-line ticket, you will bypass the main entrance line to step straight inside and discover its treasures.

Stroll between rooms lined with artwork by the likes of Veronese and Tintoretto, and gaze at gold staircases, which the doges would have once climbed. As you explore, listen to your guide to learn how the council-controlled Venice from the chambers of the Doges Palace, and hear about the building's mix of Byzantine and Far Eastern architecture.

Leave via the Bridge of sighs, imagining the anguish of the prisoners who used it to walk between the prison cells and the palace. Then head back to the square for your visit to St. Marks Cathedral.

With tales of St. Mark ringing in your ears, you will step straight inside to admire the basilicas glittering mosaics and marble inlays. Gaze at the Pala dOro, a prized example of Byzantine art with thousands of gems and precious stones, and visit the cathedral treasury, which is adorned with religious art.

Your tour then ends outside the basilica.

I choose this tour as was listed as an accessible tour, while I could not see everything on the tour, my guide was most helpful to arrange that I could see quite a bit. I would definitely recommend the tour if you use a wheelchair or scooter. The Dodge and church are beautiful!

When we arrived at the gate for the prepaid entry we were rediredted right accross the square to a wooden hut to have vouchersprinted. No where in your information was this mentioned and we were lucky not to miss our tour which was excellent

We were late and missed the Basilica we couldn’t even get Voucher so we could go in later. The radio was static and I could barely hear the tour guide

Great tour! Our guide was very very knowledgeable. I’d say definitely do both the palace and the basilica because they are both so different and are both a must see in Venice. With the guide we were able to skip the lines and the whole thing was very smoothly run. Thanks so much!

Enjoyed the tour, very beautiful palace and interesting. However the headsets had feedback and it was hard to hear at times. The accent was a little difficult to understand. I recommend that you take the earlier tour. Very crowded at 10:00 AM.

This tour was great, Monica gave us great information of both places and also the skip the line was very good as we managed to get straight in. The places we visited were beautiful and very picturesque and coupled with the facts we received from Monica it made the tour very interesting. Overall great to do if you want to visit these places with local knowledge

Mirco was a wonderful host! He was so inviting and made sure to remember everyone's names. He made sure everyone felt involved and engaged. I learned much about the Doge's Palace and St. Mark's Basilica and Venezian culture. I left feeling like I learned information I would remember for years. Mirco also gave us recommendations for the rest of our stay for places to visit and places to eat, which was very helpful. Keep in mind to follow directions to the meeting point, type the location into Waze (rather than Google Maps or Apple Maps) because we got lost trying to follow Google Maps to our meeting up location. Great tour!
