Know More about this tour

Meet your expert guide near Amsterdam’s central station, and after putting on your helmet, hop on your bike and away you go!

The 2-hour bike tour begins with a ride through the labyrinth of narrow streets and canals that comprise the bohemian Jordaan Quarter. Originally a poor neighborhood, it’s now home to an eclectic mix of artists, students and young entrepreneurs and boasts trendy boutiques, traditional cafes and modern restaurants. The area is also home to the legendary Anne Frank House Museum, which you’ll cycle past, learning from your guide about the significance of the building -- the hiding place of Jewish wartime diarist Anne Frank.

Continuing your journey further south through the city, pass the Rijksmuseum, home to masterpieces from Baroque painters like Rembrandt and Vermeer. Enjoy a short break in Vondel Park, the city’s largest green oasis, before riding across the Magere Brug, often touted as the most beautiful bridge in a city that has more than a thousand of them.

As a last highlight of your tour, your expert guide will take you into the heart of Amsterdam’s Red Light District, a must-see for any visitor to Amsterdam. This controversial neighborhood is actually Amsterdam’s oldest, and has history dating back to the 14th century. Discover its fascinating – and racy – characteristics as you ride through with your guide.

End the tour back at the start point, and having traveled the ‘Dutch way’ and discovered the gems of Amsterdam, you can proudly count yourself as an Amsterdam insider!

Upgrade to 3-hour tour:
If you choose the 3-hour tour, you'll ride past the same sights and see the same attractions mentioned above, plus you'll pass by the house of famous Dutch painter Rembrandt. You'll also have a slightly longer break at Vondel Park.

  • A little difficult locating the bike place. Highly recommend this tour. Great way to see the sights quickly

  • Good guide and interesting tour, bikes were average older style

  • Great way to explore city in small group.

  • it was drizzling that day on and off during the journey, and then also raining hail in the middle of the tour for a short wile.
Rain coat is not automatically provided. we thought the guide would bring raincoat and distribute to the team when it rains, but none, he didn't do anything not distributing rain coat, and never mention a single thing about rain coat and we all were just standing under the drizzle luckily only for a short while. there were 2 members in our group that took rain coat from the agency shop earlier before it rains, so that 2 person were smart as they were the only 2 with raincoats.
so just grab the raincoat and be prepared for yourself as the tour guide won't care. he brought us around the city, but i couldn't remember much of the places as my focus was primarily in following the group and avoiding the cars and others bicycles. there were many bicycles and when they see you riding the yellow bike they know you are tourists and they became inpatient towards you.
the tourguide told us to ignore and do not say any words back to the local to avoid conflict. he said if we were cycling in the regular bike, they wont know we are tourists and they won't have any issue with us.

guess tourists in bike is not very welcomed here.
the tour guide did some explanation on the history and all that, but unlike other tour that i signed up with, i expect the tour guide will let us know which place is the best for picture, or at least give us some time for picture taking. this guide mention nothing and recommend nothing on the best picture snapping spot, and didn't give us enough time for picture taking. luckily my husband is good with cycling, and he managed to take picture with one hand, and keep on cycling with another hand.
and just when the tour guide is stopping to give explanation, you better take the picture and not listen to what he said, because he will continue the journey after he finished what he said and then you have no time for picture. so pick one only listen to the explanation or take good picture, as you cant do both good at the same time.

  • EASY GOING , WORTH DOING TO SEE THE CITY IN 2 hrs , Guides knowledgable and friendly

  • Two hour tour was great gave you a good overview of the city with a knowledgable a friendly guide which allowed us to revisit places of interest.

  • Excellent tour and a great way to see the city! My daughter and I had been to Amsterdam before and thought we had seen all of it but there were some key areas we have missed. I highly recommend this tour.

  • Doing a bike tour in Amsterdam is a must. Very good for those people who don't have much experience riding a bike. It is all flat, with no hills. The only problem I had was the peddle brake on the bike? I would much prefer a bike with a front and back hand brake.

  • Absolutely a wonderful experience. You will stop frequently to learn about the various areas in Amsterdam. Finding the tour company was easy and the tour guide was very friendly.

  • The weather did not cooperate, which is obviously outside of their control. However, other issues also led to this being mediocre. The tour was only 2 hours long - which meant we were rushed to get through it. The leader's bike got a flat and as a result, since there was only one and no back up, we got derailed halfway through. Additionally, the roads we took were crazy with traffic and I felt really uncomfrotable with my kids trying to keep up wth the leader while cars were on their tails. I've done other bike tours in Europe, this was by far my least favorite.
