Next, head to Maggies Farm Shop, a lakeside store and kitchen a-jumble with fresh glazes, jellies, jams, and other specialties. The ever-popular spot is run by Maggie Beer, an all-star chef, writer and entrepreneur in Australia. Here, you get to sample a range of tasty fresh foods and specialty goods, including seasonal produce plucked right from the on-site farm.
On arrival at Lambert Estate at Angaston, you will enjoy a structured wine tasting whilst sampling local seasonal produce from gourmet platters. Main course follows, and is a feast for the senses, with two signature dishes, salad and vegetables. You may wish to purchase a glass of wine from the impressive wine selection, or enjoy a coffee accompanied with their popular Chocolatier (Chocolate Port).
Leaving Lambert Estate, travel to Mengler Hill Lookout for sweeping views over the valley and then onto your final stop for the day will be Pindarie, a multi-tourism award winning cellar door, which feels more like an Australian Homestead than a cellar door. The friendly staff dont just pour the wine; they share the stories behind the wines and Pindarie, a great way to finish off your Barossa food & Wine experience.

We had a great day on the Food and Wine Tour, very informative and not rushed. Lunch at Lamberts was soooo good, omg that roast beef was so tender and perfectly cooked. Thanks to Mark for a great day.
Pindarie wine was amazing place. Lunch was beautiful. So glad Maggie Beer farmhouse was open. Guide was amazing really shared insight into area. Chocolate wine pairing perfect way to end. Would highly recommend and will be back to region definitely!!
Phil was an amazing bus driver he really made the trip memorable the overall experience was just an amazing day would highly recommend this tour and if you get Phil added bonus 🤩
My husband and I had an absolutely fantastic day on this tour. My husband doesn’t drink wine, so I wanted something that had wine tasting for me and a variety of food for him. This tour was perfect for this. Pindarie was my favourite winery, the presenter was so lovely and knowledgeable. The food at Lambert estate was fantastic and a large variety, plus they also catered to all dietary requirements. Finally, the chocolate and wine pairing was a perfect way to end the day.
I really enjoyed the Barossa hop on/off Food and Wine Tour. I would highly recommend it. A great day out. Generous tastings.
A great fun day out, the driver was excellent, great wines & locations! It was very well organised, professional and value for money!
Jeff was our tour guide and he was amazing. He offered so much information about the areas were in. The lunch was next level, the chocolate wine tasting was fun. The whole day perfect, thank you.
Lunch was very good. Wineries and chocolate factory good. I only maked my score down because trip was advertised as a small bus and a maximum of 20 people. We had a full size bus and I counted atleast 30 people - not what was expected. Not a real problem but tends to slow trip down. I understand itineries can change but this one was completely different.
The winery And a very nice lunch at Lamberts But disappointed not to have seen Maggie Beers place as I booked this specially for that
Great driver, tours, wine and food. Overall a great day. Only thing that was disappointing was no wine tasting included at Maggie Beer's farm, which wasn't clear until we arrived. Out driver Mark was excellent.
