This tour was brilliant, Victor our tour guide was excellent. He knew when to leave us to our own devices and when to step in and sharing his knowledge. He was very relaxed and easy to get along with! Luckily we were the only people on this tour which helped it be more memorable for us but Victor definitely added that wow factor, we cant thank him enough for the enjoyable day. Also the small champagne house was so welcoming and knowledgeable we learnt so much!

We had numerous correspondence with Viator representatives to discuss our tour, including the fact that the two Champagne houses we originally signed up for (the main reason we selected the tour in the first place) cancelled their tour schedules. Nevertheless, we agreed to visit different Champagne houses instead. Never once during our correspondence did any of the Viator representatives recommend that we buy train tickets in advance or mention that our intended tour date was a National holiday in France, which likely would affect our ability to purchase train tickets (Parisiens were leaving the City for their holiday). As a result, we were unable to purchase train tickets from Paris the day before the tour (we even tried unsuccessfully to rent a car). Thus, our family had no way to join the tour. It was rather expensive and was supposed to be milestone birthday celebrations of two family members. Yet, Viator refused to refund even a portion of the cost because it was within 24 hours of the tour, even though they shared the blame.

We fell in love with Reims thanks to Radames! We were really impressed, with not only how well versed he was in the history of Reims but also his knowledge abt champagne. What made this tour special was the way he was able to relate out all that info to us in such an organised and efficient manner that engaged us from start to end. His tour was well thought out and planned excellently. His timing and the delivery of his knowledges was well executed. He will be telling us abt something and then suddenly he will be driving past that particular subject just in time for us to not only Soak in the info but see it with our own eyes in the next seconds. We also fell in love with the small family owned champagne maker. They were so genuine and we can see the champagnes made by them was done with love and honesty. We got 6 bottles to bring back and will savour each bottle that we opened. we chose Labour Day for the Reims tour. And they actually sacrificed their holiday just to bring us around. We truly appreciate it. Thank u for such a superb time. J'adore ;)

We booked this tour with only 2 of us so Pierre was able to be flexible with time and focus of tour. He was knowledgeable - passionate about his city and surrounds. Pommery was an experience - highly recommend. It was a full day - we managed to fit in some extra major champagne houses - our personal favourites- as well as some smaller ones.

Tour the caves of Taittinger under Reims and Moët & Chandon in Épernay with tastings. Lunch is on your own in Épernay with enough time to briefly explore the small town. Both champagne houses had additional tasting options / upgrades other tour groups had booked; I would have liked to have the option to upgrade my tastings at the time of booking. We started at the cathedral of Reims, learning about its history and reconstruction. We had a brief driving tour of Reims before being dropped off for a cellar tour at Taittinger that concluded with a tasting of champagne and rosé. We stopped to admire the view at a vineyard in Hautvillers before visiting the grave of Dom Pérignon in a church. We were provided a few lunch recommendations in Épernay before being dropped off at the roundabout near the start of Avenue de Champagne. Moët & Chandon was a good tour of a well-known champagne house with impressive, historical cellars.
