Know More about this tour

You will be driven from Paris to Giverny, in the comfort of an air-conditioned minibus, where you will start your day with the visit of Claude Monet’s property. Located at the edge of Normandy, about 50 miles north of Paris, Claude Monet’s Home is one of the most popular tour destination around Paris.

There you will discover the famous gardens created by the most famous of the Impressionist painters often referred to as the father of Impressionism, though not the first to have painted in « a style that would become known as Impressionism ». You will enjoy the sight of the well-known Japanese bridge in the midst of its flowered paths and wather-lily ponds, and the house, with its pink crushed brick façade, where the leader of the Impressionist School spent 43 years from 1883 until his death in 1926.

After a morning spent in one of this most inspirational settings, you will head off to the banks of the Epte River where you will have lunch at the lovely “Moulin de Fourges” restaurant, a 200-year-old mill. The architecture of this listed site, dating back to the 18th century, draws its inspiration from hamlet of Marie-Antoinette at Versailles.

In the afternoon, you will be driven to Versailles Palace, residence of the Sun King, Louis XIV, to enjoy a guided visit of Louis XIV’s suite, the Hall of Mirrors and more… After your guided tour inside the castle you will also have some remaining time to discover the famous “A la Française” gardens.

  • This was a fantastic tour! Our guide was amazing! She was very knowledgeable and so fun to be around. The food was AWESOME! You have plenty of time at each location to see everything you want. It was organized very well. Highly recommended

  • very well planned out and relaxed.

  • This tour was well worth booking - it was a perfect balance of Giverney to Versailles with the most delightful and entertaining delivery of succinct knowledge and history from our guide Nabilia. She was so good we are hoping to request her for another tour.
If you want to experience the best of both of these places I seriously recommend this tour as it is small, informative but allows you freedom - thank you Nabilia and Viator!!

  • Versailles although amazing was way too crowded to enjoy. Our guide was very knowledgeable.
    The Monet gardens were beautiful

  • This tour was amazing! The day began at Giverny Monet's home and gardens. If you appreciate Monet's art, you will love this tour as you can clearly see where he got his inspiration! This was followed with a wonderful lunch at a small countryside converted mill. The food was incredible and the people were very kind and friendly. We ended the day at Versailles which was great - I learned much but still preferred Giverny. We had one tour guide for most of the day and his colleague gave us the tour of Versailles. Both tour guides were wonderful - very knowledgeable. I truly enjoyed this tour and would love to go again!!!

  • This was a long memorable day packed with highlights. There were only two others aside from our host on this tour.By the end of the day we were getting along very well. Monet's house and garden in Giverny was beautiful and I'm not sure I have the words to describe the incomparable Palace of Versailles. Our host was informative and engaging and by the end of the tour I felt like I had made new friends.
