Know More about this tour

The Golden circle is the most popular day trip in Iceland. Geysers, The Golden waterfall and Thingvellir is a classic. This tour adds something unique to your experience with a visit to the big volcanic crater called Kerid. Kerid crater is 270m wide and more than 55m deep, there is also a 14m deep lake at the bottom of the crater which makes the whole scene look really magical. The tour also starts with free pick up and drop off within Reykjavik.

Thingvellir National park is the national shire of all Icelanders. It lies within the belt of volcanic activity and fissures which pass across Iceland, a part of the Mid-Atlantic ridge, the junction between the American and Eurasian tectonic plates. It is an amazing feeling to stand with your right foot in Europe and the left one in America.

Geysir is home to the biggest geysers of Haukadalur are Strokkur and to the original Geysir itself, which gives the others their name. Strokkur erupts every 5 to 10 minutes, throwing a column of water into the air to a height of 20 to 30 meters.

Next you'll visit Gullfoss which is one of the most amazing waterfalls in Iceland.

  • I cannot recommend this tour enough. Our tour guide David Jaron was absolutely brilliant! I used this trip to propose to my girlfriend and David helped out immensely with the planning and assisted with some great pictures/videos to help capture the moment. He also took us to additional places with less of a crowd, this was the great benefit of a small group tour. It also helped that he engaged with everyone on the tour and gave us a funny, enjoyable atmosphere throughout the day!

  • The trip allowed enough time at each venue and enough time to have lunch. The sights were very interesting and offered a nice variety of things to see on a quick trip to Iceland. The falls were outstanding!

  • Very nice tour, very nice guide, the small number helps: we had many extra stops! Highly recommended!

  • I purposely booked a small group day tour so I would be accorded the best service possible. Well, I was right - Roberto was so nice and accommodating. He lived up to the Tour operator’s name - NICE TRAVEL. Roberto was the driver and guide in one, very knowledgeable! This tour is highly recommended

  • This tour is amazing! Small group is a great idea since you get extra stops. Adding Kerid to the usual Golden Circle is a must since Kerid is really wonderful.

  • Pickup at City Hall was fine. We booked a small group tour to hear local info and background. Our guide gave little info during the tour and while travelling from site to site. The biggest problem occurred at the first stop, Thingvellir National Park, where we saw the tectonic plates and waterfall. We were told we would be walking straight thru and the van would be in a parking lot. Our guide walked very fast, had no identifying marker except a nondescript hat we all had hats and he directed us to the waterfall but was not there when we returned from it. So we walked straight as others did ahead of us. Turns out these other people were not in our group AND we should have doubled back a bit to another path. How you were to know that I don't know, especially since the guide was not at the intersection. We did come out at a parking lot 3 but our van was not there. Called Main Office who gave guide's cell and he did not know where lot 3 was so he could not get us. We ended up going to lot 1, got another tour operator who knew where lot 2 was drive us to our van. Lot 3 was less than 400 meters from lot 2. If only we OR the guide knew. Wish we had a map since apparently our guide did not and he also was unfamiliar with the area. The guide said he often loses people which makes you wonder why they haven't figured out a way to not lose people. Then he remarked that we were now behind schedule and he would be in trouble back at the office. On the way out of lot 2 I pointed out that lot 3 was on road to the left about 400 meters. If he knew the area he could have picked us up in less than 5 minutes. We are experienced travelers and have never gotten lost on a tour or treated so poorly.

  • We picked this tour among many other Golden Circle tours because this included Kerid Crater. The crater is definitely a must visit on the Golden Circle route. Our guide Valdi was a proud Icelander and very informational. He told us stories and little snippets about local life which made the tour more fun. Very much enjoyed the small group setting. Highly Recommended !

  • a perfect into to the Iceland landscape ---

  • We had a great tour guide and even made an extra stop to see some Icelandic horses. A couple of the stops felt a little rushed and wish we had more time at the tetonic plates and Geysir.

  • Exactly what we were looking for. Hits most of the must-see sites for a short trip to Reykjavik. Highly recommend.
