Guide excellent. We booked a group tour and there was only two of us. which we initially thought might feel a bit intense. However the guide was friendly and relaxed and it was very good.

My Spouse & I decided to go on a half day tour of Eastern Madeira from Funchal. The highlight was a lovely lunch in Santana with the traditional A - frame houses. We enjoyed the cliff top scenery and the enchanting Levada. Our guide was friendly and knowledgable. It was well organised, affordable and highly recommended.

Highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Madeira. We had a private tour and enjoyed the information given by the driver very much.We had 4-5 stops during the tour to visit local attractions and had good time to take photos too.

Our driver Antonio was 15 plus minutes late and in v.poor health. He was red faced struggling for breath when driving and even worse getting in and out of the mini van. He was also quite overweight and belching or suppressing a belch every 2 or 3 minutes. Although polite he could barely do the minimum :- " We go to xxxxx. It is beautiful. You see a long way.You can go to the toilet, or buy a souvenir. Be back in xxx minutes" . We thought he could pass out he seemed so ill. V.scary. We got out early once back in Funchal. Most other passengers bailed as well. Emailed complaint same day to 'Be Driven' – had no reply whatsoever.
