After an early start from Darwin, relax on the 90-minute journey to the stunning rock formations and waterfalls of Litchfield National Park. Following the Stuart Highway, youll pass a low-lying landscape of palms and red desert bushland.
Just before entering Litchfield National Park, take a guided tour to see the massive Magnetic and Cathedral termite mounds soaring 20 feet (6 meters) into the air. These amazing insect habitats are made up of intricate arches, tunnels and chimneys, which can be easily viewed from a series of nearby boardwalks.
Continuing into Litchfield National Park, youll explore the parks streams and sandstone escarpments, and enjoy a swim in Florence and Wangi waterfalls (seasonal) and enjoy a barbecue lunch. Then watch waterfalls cascade into Buley Rockhole, a series of falls and holes offering ideal spots to swim and relax, before returning to Darwin in the early evening.

Mon (Monica) was a tremendous guide. She was fun and informative. She took pictures for us and shared them when the tour was over. The waterfall were amazing and the swimming was fun.

Great place to visit, saw only a small part of the Park but very interesting and lots of fun. The guide was very good.

A long day but a chance to see some beautiful national park. There are opportunities to swim but I didn't swim and did some bush walking instead. The guide Darren was great.

The day trip to Litchfield National Park surpassed all expectations. Joey was the perfect tour guide. His passion for country and people was evident and made the day far more meaningful in this spectacular part of Australia.

Joey was a fantastic knowledgeable, enthusiastic tour guide. We were given plenty of time at each stop to enjoy the park and the facilities. I would recommend to others as a must do tour when in Darwin.

Had an amazing day, thoroughly recommend this tour! Joey our guide was very knowledgeable and informative on everything. He clearly stood out from other tour guides we met along the way making our experience personal and fun. Thank-you for a memorable day Joey!!

Great guide joey, very knowledgeable. Food adequate. Handy coffee and loo stop en route. Had enough of water holes by busy buely, would have preferred to spend a bit longer at the bachelor butterfly farm instead. Liked it was a small tour group.
-
Enjoyable day, beautiful scenery and great waterfalls. Stopped off at 3 waterfalls for 1 hour each for a swim which was a bit long, would have preferred to stay a shorter time and visit somewhere else eg the butterfly place. Good guide (Joey) but the coach speakers need improving as missed some of the commentary and they need to cushion the coach door when it closes!!!

We had a lovely day trip to Litchfield National Park with Joey as our tour guide. We enjoyed the chance to swim, swim and swim again as well as get up close to the Cathedral Termite mounds which are amazing. It was a nice surprise to take a short walk through the cool rainforest at the first waterfall and then enjoy the BBQ lunch. Thanks for the relaxing and refreshing finish to our holiday in the Northern Territory.
