When you reach the UNESCO World Heritage site, follow your guide on a walking tour around the impressive tower-temples remains of the political and religious capital of the Champa Kingdom. Admire the structures, which were originally built with wood, then restored in the 7th century with locally made brick after the temples were completely destroyed by fire one century earlier.

By the 13th century, more than 70 similar temples had been built, establishing My Son as a sanctuary of Hinduism in the Champa Kingdom. As you marvel at sandstone bas-reliefs depicting scenes from Hindu mythology, learn about the My Son civilizations devotion to Hindu deities like Krishna, Vishnu and Shiva.

Our guide, Non, was very knowledgeable and gave us a lot of new information on the Cham-pa kingdoms and their history.

We had an absolutely fantastic tour to My Son sanctuary from Hoi An with our brilliant tour guide Tom! Tom made the day even better for us with his excellent knowledge and humour from start to finish. We learned so much on our tour and would recommend it to anyone. Thanks again Tom!

We really enjoyed our day trip to the My Son Sanctuary! Our guide was very knowledgeable. We decided to take the afternoon tour and it was very hot. It was nice, though, because we were the only ones there.

River was our guide for this half day tour. She and the driver were on time picking us up. She gave an not only an interesting account of the ruins but also shared with us information about life as a local there. She ended the tour by recommending us the her favourite Bahn Mi place and dropping off all us there for lunch. Thanks to her, we all enjoyed the yummylicious lunch.

Had a detailed visit and we were helped by providing a helpful and friendly guide. She tried to accommodate as per our age with due considerations . Except bothered by heavy rain we enjoyed the trip.

This is a beautiful place; with similarities to Ankor Wat and Sukkothai. But get there on your own with a driver or cab and have them wait for you for the day. The tour with guide is too restrictive. You spend much of the time (more than advertised) waiting in town to fill up the bus with various tourists from subcontractors. Then the time is limited due to the requirements to meet up with a boat company for a partial river tour on the way back to Hoi An. We just stayed on the bus. Can't see that the time on the boat would have been a better experience.

Mooie uitstap met gids naar My Son.

We booked the small group tour and were picked up at our hotel. Luckily we were the only people that day so we had Suong (our guide) to ourselves.

Great tour through some remarkable ruins. Guide was informative about everything we saw. Tour went at a good pace with plenty of time to see everything

We were really looking forward to seeing these ruins and they didn't disappoint, but our tour guide wasn't the most helpful. While other groups guides stayed with their tours and explained what they were seeing, ours left us to our own devices. With the help of the Lonely Planet guidebook, the signs around the park, and good old-fashioned evesdropping, we were able to ensure we got the most out of our experience. We also asked a lot of questions and the guide was able to answer them, although the information was at times different from what we were reading, so we took it all with a grain of salt. Going early was key to missing the crowds and beating the heat (as much as one can) and we were thankful we went early.
